You gotta close it fast before that downvotes affect your moral?
-
@fbmac The 'e' having pissed off to the ERP thread?
-
@Yamikuronue I : whoosh:, what e?
-
@fbmac "morale" is probably the word you wanted
-
@Yamikuronue 'moral' works too, as the singular of 'morals'
-
@RaceProUK I mean, it's grammatically correct, but nobody talks about "your moral" as if you own only one. Morale is uncountable, while morals are usually described in the plural in this case.

I want to derail my own thread too!
What about "the moral of the story" - moral?
-
@Yamikuronue It was a translation error. We use "moral" for both those meanings in Portuguese. I just learned the difference here: http://www.gingersoftware.com/english-online/spelling-book/confusing-words/moral-morale
-
@Mikael_Svahnberg But it wasn't "the moral of ____", it was "your moral". Different phrase.

I could split hairs and say that since it is my story (or bugreport), the moral of the bugreport is mine too - it is the one I wish for you to learn by reading my bugreport. So I could interpret fbmac's comment to just be implicit in that it is in fact the bugreports moral now, and no longer mine: "before your moral [of your bugreport] is effected"
-
@Mikael_Svahnberg But it's a set phrase: "the moral", not "your moral". English is weird that way.

in other words, denied.
-
@Yamikuronue Unless it's in a phrase like "the moral high ground" ;)
-
@RaceProUK But that's an adjective

He's gotta work with the accalia he was given, though.

I assume because we've not paid Oracle to license the e?

Don't make grammar mistakes on TDWTF?

So the effect of the bug is to cause people to renounce a lifetime of immorality?

E_NOT_REPRODUCIBLE :(
What was the verdict, @administrators ?
