Eh, this stuff all exists as add-ons and whatnot, but it's not for me. For one thing, it requires plug-ins for the web server or what-have-you. This becomes a problem when you want to use debugging on a production server. Having debugging integrated into the software itself makes it fairly easy to turn it on or off, access the debugging from non-dev machines and even enable it for support people or customers to get the full debug log of their session. Of course, YMMV, but I prefer doing debugging this way.
