Tfs for time tracking and task tracking.
JIRA is for external issue reporting and tracking.I am disappoint. That, like, even makes sense (it would be better to use JIRA for both though; this is just wasting money on TFS license).
Well, TFS has swimlanes and other stuff that I haven't found in JIRA.
Plus we're moving source control into TFS.

You just need a recent version. I'm pretty sure that came with my project because I chose the default Agile template on accident and haven't seen for to fix it.

I was talking about the time tracking specifically. In TFS all I've got is a single field with no history, which quickly leads to "did I add the hours yesterday or not?" problems. Jira has the entries with date, and a calendar, so you can check what you forgot and fill it in.
There sure are things missing from Jira, at least as set up here, like separate severity and priority (I have a bunch of issues all over the priority/severity combination matrix, but only one field, priority, to classify them), or milestones.
But we have ancient TFS 2010, and (a bit less) ancient Jira v6.4.11 to match.

Why?!?!?!

Did you check the workitem
changerevision log? Pretty sure it's there. It's more retarded that in JIRA, but technically...

@Tsaukpaetra, yes, technically it has a history. Practically it is useless for making sure you accounted all hours you should have.
