Speaking of sharing data (although not related to AI), the FCC fined US cell phone carriers almost $200M for selling your location data:

TL;DW: They (probably) won't stop, because that's chump change compared to what they make from selling it.
They'll just call it a data breach. "Oops. Sorry." Yeah, thanks AT&T...

We don't need any insane AIs.
Ah, but it could start a revolution against AIs!

@Zecc I'd complain that this could be done more simply with a plain .reg file. But Toby Faire, at least the README says so.
I just went to the link in the source code: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/disable-ads-in-windows-11.8004/
Every one of those settings is reachable via the UI. And there's a reg file at that link. So that program just sounds like some UI fluff on top of that...

@dcon is Vivaldi above their threshold, or is it too small to even make the “we care so little about it, we don’t even care to tell you that we don’t care about it” cut?
Too small.
@Arantor said in WTF is happening with Windows 11? And nothing else:
Nah, it’s a symptom of “we didn’t test in anything other than latest Chrome, sucks to be you for not keeping up”.
PG&E too.
The following browsers are below our threshold for support. Some functionality may still work.
Mozilla Firefox
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Brave
Opera
UC Browser

web site doesn't work in Firefox.
After logging in (2FA/etc), it presents another (different) login screen - which doesn't do anything - but F5 (refresh) and the web site appears properly. In FF, it gets into an infinite loop and you can never get past the 2nd login screen (which does nothing)

That's fine with me, since I don't want to use it in the first place.
I have to. Can't access my paystubs otherwise since our work web site doesn't work in Firefox.

We have a cafeteria and a pre-paid card. I forget how much per/month (it would not cover being on site 5/d week), but since I only go in a couple times a month, it works out...

Besides, they'll change every week.
Just to be clear - my wife said when we run out of something to "put it on the fridge so we dont forget to buy it". She never said anything about a "list"...

I haven't either... I liked that!

Unfortunately I have programmed in C at least once so I am all of the above. I learnt the languages in chronological order for some reason, so C -> C++ -> Java -> C#. And no, I am not that old. C# had... looks it up ...just been released when I started learning C.
LOL. I started working with C before C++ was a thing. (Well, it existed via cfront - my Dad talked about it a little (he worked at Bell Labs))

Please remove me from this list.
That one, surprisingly, hasn't happened. I did joke in our group's slack channel that I had an evil thought about that (bring down the server!). And then the "please stop" replies started. I have now muted that outlook tab, so - I'll delete the (nicely) grouped thread later this afternoon...
