You too can now experience holding hands

TFA:
the Osampo Kanojo has no fewer than seven key design points.
-
The outer covering is made from soft and pliable gel, to recreate âthe tenderness of a womanâs hand.â
-
Osampo Kanojo contains an internal pressure sensor, so that when you squeeze its palm, motors activate and the hand squeezes you back.
-
When walking with a girlfriend, your strides may not perfectly mesh for each and every step. To replicate this, the Osampo Kanojo is mounted on a track that runs perpendicular to your wrist. Walk too quickly, and motors will cause it to slide back, creating a rearward tugging sensation on your arm. While this might seem like an inconvenience, it helps create the sensation that youâre walking with someone whoâs taking their own steps next to you, and not just carrying a piece of baggage.
-
Osampo Kanojo has an internal heater, so that warmth will radiate out from its palm and fingers.
-
A human hand isnât dry like a chunk of plastic or mound of rubber. While a hand thatâs slick with sweat would be unpleasant, a certain amount of moisture is needed for an organic feeling. To achieve that, a piece of moistened fabric is placed inside Osampo Kanojo, and when the heater is activated, it causes trace amounts of moisture to be secreted through small pores in the outer covering.
-
As discussed above, two people walking hand-in-hand wonât necessarily have identically timed footsteps, so Osampo Kanojo plays the sounds of your virtual girlfriendâs steps through your smartphoneâs speaker, along with the sounds of her breathing and the gentle rustle of her clothing.
-
Last, we werenât kidding when we mentioned that the designers have included something for your sense of smell. The cloth inside Osampo Kanojo is treated with a womenâs shampoo fragrance, so that the subtle aroma of freshly washed hair will waft up from it when the cloth is heated.

That certainly won't be creepy and embarrassing to walk around with in public.
At least their target market is confident, self-assured individuals.

Fucking
I don't think they are.

@topspin Wonders of tecknology will solve that before long. Now that there's artificial warmth, moisture, rhythm and a bit of pressure, the rest is implementation detail.

It's been solved for a while. Just at the price of a small car.

Well, is the maintenance at least less expensive? I mean, just blast it with Kärcher once in a while and that's it.
-
I wonder why do they target single men and men only? I am pretty sure there is a good market among single women. Maybe even better.

They've already got a "tugging" feature in this robot hand, what more do you need?

What more do I need? I don't need anything of the sort!

Because women's products have been available for years.

Not that we're supposed to judge you anymore.
But, man, citrus? You've got some serious issues.

A dream to use thanks to the sticky gel formula.
That's where the magic is!

I would have expected one to go for Cortana as she's the one with an official "physical" representation (and accompanying rule 34 material), but you do you.

.... Have you seen my avatar?
Besides, it's not like I'm limited by physical representations.
It's nicer when your imagination is the driving narrative.
