It is a style that defines computer RPGs for many (Baldurs Gate)
It's the reason Baldur's Gate is literally unplayable. I keep hearing good things about that game. I've tried, over and over again, to get into it, but the isometric perspective interferes with the gameplay so heavily that I'm never able to progress quickly enough to keep my frustration with the cumbersome interface from mounting to rage-quit levels.
You are insane.

@ChaosTheEternal if Another World got an update and Flashback got an update maybe, just maybe Cruise for a Corpse will land on GOG? That’d be nice.

The Nintendo Eshop summer sale just started, with many games at their lowest price ever:
Some of the highlights I've seen:
- Hades 40% off
- All the Megaman collections
- I thought I could find a third one. Maybe the Castlevania Advanced collection?
There are even more discounts if you remove the "new lowest price" filter

What, you're not going to highlight the porn games? And here I figured Nintendo would be the platform that just didn't allow porn games.

porn games
Ara?
But apparently buying stuff on the web side causes the games to immediately auto download, and I don't actually have a Switch, and my account is currently being used by the ten year old (who is vacationing out of state) so it's not like I can take it away for an hour and cancel the downloads...
Choices.....

VirtuaVerse is free on GOG for the next 69 hours:
-
PC port of Doom 64 for 1.20 EUR

Nintendo porn is best porn. Other electronics aren't able to be degraded.

Random news, Zachtronics (of TIS-100, SpaceChem etc.) fame is releasing one more game, Last Call BBS on July 5 and then they're closing down, separating to go do different things. I assume the usual new-game discount will be a thing too.
I personally found their games hit my patience threshold pretty quickly but I'm sure the forumites here would likely find at least one of their games interesting.
-
@Arantor I've played a handful of theirs, and it was really spacechem I liked the most. Though I never played TIS-100, which is the other one that gets named a lot.
-
The only one I've heard of is Everhood, which is is like an Undertale fan game with Guitar Hero style combat, but even just that is worth it at this price. Some of the other games look good too
-
Big anniversary discount on all CD Project Red games (witcher and cyberpunk 2077) on various stores.
-
Stasis is free on Gog for next 70ish hours.
-
Apparently StarCraft remastered edition is available for Amazon Primers.

GOG is offering Lovecraft's Untold Stories on giveaway for the next 47 hours.

Gloomhaven is one of the free games in the Epic Game Store this week. It's a digital version of the popular co-op campaign board game of the same name. Gloomhaven the board game comes in a huge box that costs $100+ and takes a good chunk of time to set up and tear down. The digital version makes it all easy.
Epic's release is the entire main campaign; you can buy a set of extra missions (one per character class) and the smaller mass-market campaign Jaws of the Lion as DLC. It's also available on Steam and GOG.
The game is somewhere between D&D-style dungeon crawl and strategic puzzler; every mission gives both the party and each character goals to accomplish while fending off your enemies. Each character has a fixed hand of ability cards and plays two per turn. These cards let you move, attack, heal, or have special effects. You also have items that you can use as needed. When you get low on cards you spend a turn resting to get most of them back. Characters are knocked out if they can't get back to a hand of 2 cards or run out of HP.
I find it a bit difficult, but still interesting.

Duck Game
is full price on Steam today, probably. But it might be on sale, and it's cheap anyway.
-
Indeed, Patricia - what is a deal? Well, wherever an item of value exceeding outlay is acquired, that's a deal. To acquire an item of marginal value for a less-excessive price, is also considered a deal, but only by Patricia.quick?
For instance, a massive wank such as a current B game being offered for half price, when its real value is one stale burrito shit. This is not a deal. The opportunity to reexperience Final Fantasy, it is not a deal.
Duck Game
is a deal at any of its price points, but it will not likely spin your fans hard enough to give you an erection. Perhaps pay for some overbikeshedded never-run on pre-order instead, Patricia. And Patricia, a game you played to death 20 years ago isn't even a game when it's re-released, it's a nostalgiabation aid.

GOG is offering Master of Magic Classic for free for the next 71 hours:
-
@ChaosTheEternal …classic? I didn’t know a remake was coming, but TIL.

Yeah, there's sort of 3 versions:
- The original.
- Caster of Magic/Caster of Magic for Windows, an extensive paid mod/DLC.
- The upcoming Master of Magic (202x).
I actually liked it more than Master of Orion back in the day, but obviously I was in the minority.
-
Humble Bundle currently has the recent Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous paired with a bunch of 2D RPG classics:
The price for all the games is $20, which is less than half of what Wrath would cost you normally. If you have the patience for this kind of RPG take a look.
-
GOG is giving away Genesis Alpha One for the next 48 hours:

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Collection is free on GOG for a bit:

The critically-acclaimed gribnit levels for Duck Game have new levels, none of which are probably critically acclaimed as yet. Free with purchase. I am not affiliated with anyone, whatsoever.
Only one of them is actively designed solely for removing sanity. I promise. And it's not even one of the new ones.
-
Narita Boy is free on GOG for the next 46 hours and about 45 minutes:

-
Kerbal Space Program free on Epic Games Store until Jan 12th.

Last Horizon is free on Indiegala. It's some kind of space game.
-
Haven Park is free on GOG for the next 69 hours:
-
Revolution Ace, free on IndieGala:

Ah, yes, I forgot Nintendo soft banned me from buying things for the Switch until I log back into a Switch.
Shut up and take my money FFS!
