Grab the Bottle on IndieGala.

@hungrier this is where I draw the line - alcoholism is no game. Grab a real bottle.

Some kind of hospital management game with immature humor.
FWIW one commenter says it's a cult classic from Germany, which is why I'm posting this.

@HardwareGeek the uncensored version and the sequel are only available in German so we'll have to take their word for it

Figment is free on GOG for a bit. The trailer reminds me of Bastion
-
GOG is offering Lorelai for free for the next 64 hours:
It's advertised as the conclusion to a trilogy of horror themed point-and-click games (the prequels are The Cat Lady and then Downfall). From very quick searching, the stories of the three games are supposedly independent, so you might not need to play the prequels, but the latter games can spoil the earlier ones.
-
GOG is offering Neurodeck: Psychological Deckbuilder for free for the next 68 hours:
By the looks on the GOG page and on Steam, it's not rated very highly, so I guess don't expect much.
-
GOG is offering Alwa's Awakening for free for the next 21 hours:
It's a retro styled Metroidvania that's highly rated on GOG and Steam. I have personally completed this game and do recommend it, and I also recommend the sequel.
-
GOG is offering Deep Sky Derelicts for free for the next 23 hours:
-
@ChaosTheEternal And it's also -85% off according to the page title, to boot.
Anyway. Seems like a good game. It also looks like a potientially huge time sync.
Here's the trailer for the :

Desktop Dungeons free on Steam.

Oooh, you mean it has multiplayer? Though yeah, those can be hard to arrange playing times with your partner(s), especially when multiple time zones are involved.

Another GOG give away. Thanks, @GOG .
-
@Zecc You're welcome.

Keeping in the 40k realm:
Until June 1st.

@Zecc Oh, the reviews on that one are interesting...
EDIT: To save you a click:
-
@JBert Fair enough. My glance at the reviews started from the bottom.
Either way, it's another one to add to the ever-growing List of Free Games I Might Play Once I'm Completely Bored and Still Alive.

@HardwareGeek Maybe I should also place an "INB4 Plane Sim", but to check how many DLC you typically have in those.
-
@JBert Yeah, they have a lot, too. I think generally each type of plane is a separate DLC, and in some cases, there are additional airports, too. Another offender is Cities: Skylines. It has a pretty good assortment of "real" DLCs, but also dozens of choices for in-game background music, each of which is a DLC.

Which has the same publisher as Crusader Kings.

I would just mute the in-game music and play my own. Do they know that you can run multiple applications at the same time?

Muh immershun!

@TimeBandit On that note I recently did a study into 1980s/1990s pixel art programs and discovered one that actually offered playing modtracker files as a feature while you're drawing. Though if they'd written it in a slightly different way, they could have used the Amiga's native multitasking to do it without too much trouble in another application...

GOG is offering Sigma Theory: Global Cold War for free for the next 69 hours:

This, except I've muted the game audio entirely. I don't even remember what the default in-game music is, and the sound FX are annoying and contribute nothing to the player's awareness of what is happening in the game. Edit: Unfortunately, however, I can't stream audio while I'm playing. Firefox and Cities: Skylines don't play nice together, mostly because C:S uses all 64GB of RAM, at least while it's loading, and one or the other or both will crash if they try to coexist. Half the time, C:S crashes while loading, even without FF running. (This is not the fault of C:S, itself; I have way more Workshop content for it than is reasonable.)

GOG is offering Eschalon: Book II for free for the next 44 1/2 hours:
Was gonna say it's kinda weird for them to be giving away the middle game in a trilogy, but apparently Book 1 is available for free (on GOG and Steam):
-
GOG is offering Hell Division for free for the next 42 hours:
Not sure if GOG has changed how they do giveaways, but you have to add to cart and purchase for $0.
Though it does also look like this game is almost regularly only $1 between Steam and GOG and all the other retailers selling Steam keys, so don't expect much.
-
@ChaosTheEternal It's because this isn't "on giveaway", where it's also technically purchasable at between 50-75% off if you've already consumed the giveaway offer, but instead it's purchasable 100% off as many times as you want.
Edit: Also doesn't demand you sign up to get spammed.
-
@TwelveBaud said in Game Deals Thread:

Well, the email they sent that led me to post this said it was a "giveaway". When they did Crusader Kings 2 for free, that email didn't say it was a giveaway.
-
GOG is offering Ancient Enemy for free for the next 69½ hours:
Just like the last one, it's not a "claim" button but adding it to your cart for 100% off, despite the email and front-page spinner saying it's a giveaway.

I'll quote the first reviewer. rechenkoenig said:
Games: 499 Reviews: 2
Excellent story-driven experience

I've read in a lot of reviews that this game is inspired by "1984" (concerning the setting) and from "Papers, please" (concerning mechanics and gameplay). I find both of these comparisons inaccurate. The general premise of the game is more likley inspired by Terry Gilliam's Movie "Brazil" from 1984 (ironically). The game tells the story of a government employee working in some nameless but powerfull "Ministry" that tortures the citizens of state by forcing them to endure endless bureaucratic marathons even for simple requests.
The comparison to "Papers, please" is more misleading. Even though there is a part in the game where you complete repetitive tasks by managing citizens in a booth, this is not the core mechanic. This game is story-driven and combines elements of RPGs and adventure games with basic ressource management.
It's very well written! I like the dialogs for they fit the personality of the characters very well. The script is mature and funny.
The deciscions you have to make in this game are painful. The game is ethically challenging, but not hopelessly dark. There is often an element of comic relief and more then once I chuckled about a funny idea the developers put into the game even though it might break the immersion a little.
The only compaint I would have is the fact that moving around a lot and some painfully slow animations you have to trigger all the time slow down the game needlessly. You need to pass through areas of the Ministry because there might be something going on there, but most of the time there isn't. But from my point of view that's only a minor flaw.
You can feel the love that's been put into this game from the first minute you start playing. The graphics and sound design is spot on, even though the art just emphazising what everybody expects of a dystopian presentation (black/white, puppet-like people).
This is my first review after I already bought more then 200 Games on GOG, that could mean something as well.

It's clearly screaming "match 3 game" to me.

@Tsaukpaetra you must play some weird match 3's.

I just figured you’d have gone to the product page and seen the very not match 3 images, even if you hadn’t already heard about the franchise (as it has been around for a while)
