Nobody shares Pot knowledge better than this
A week or 2 ago during a drive about:
We got pulled over and the Cop said he smelled pot
Was there any in vehicle NO
a couple more questions about driving erratically
Is there any Pot in the vehicle again NO
Then I said (from the passenger seat) "I am the Pot smoker here"
no more questions and we leftSo others can benefit from this protection
Now I put a gram in a mini plastic bag and pin it to my lapel as a Pot Poppy / Deodorant / Po Po repellent etcPot Poppies for our Weed Heroes 20191118105508

@SpectateSwamp I'm curious if that would work in the USA. You should come and try it out, see what happens.
-
@sloosecannon
I'd like to invite those against PotPoppies to come on up.
A cage match can be arranged with some PotHead in the same class.
I don't think the PotHaters will last a round. Nope...
We have been hating those assholes like forever...

Dafuq is a "pot poppy"?
It's explained, sort of, a few posts above. There is even a video of it! Maybe you could random enough to find it using the long file name.
-
@LaoC said in Nobody shares knowledge better than this:

Wearing a poppy in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Day is a Canadian tradition. Swampy has added his own spin on it by putting his weed in there.

Ah, thanks! That's a strange tradition, one would think they were remembering the fallen of the Opium Wars.

For this topic it should have probably included a minimum of the date, the teams, the city in which it was played, the GPS coordinates of the arena, the names of the players, and a description of what's happening.

How do you do that right now..
With the long filename method you can make a copy or 2 of the file and put the rest of the names there.
What I don't get is why some totally hate the idea of long filenames.
The directory and folder experts know nothing. Maybe it;s my tone?

Pygmy Black Bears do exist
Sharing knowledge sometimes is enlightening to those that share.
I was showing off some old photos of Bears...
And noticed... WOW that is a small Black Bear.
THEN I remembered a story that I heard the Old Trappers talk about.
The area was known for having the LARGEST Grizzly Bears next to the Kodiak
One mentioned that some of the black bears in the area don't get over 125 lbs.
Those small bears can scramble up trees and avoid getting eaten.Pygmy bears is what this group are..
These 3 pictures were unusual in the fact that somehow they took so many Pics.
AND this bear doesn't look like a cub. NopeP. S that's my mom in the top pic next to the Pygmy Bear

Those Starlings are a real problem for local Critters
They stayed around for the better part of a month
Gobbling up grapes and wild berries wherever they touched down

Unfortunately if the motion is slowed further the images become incomprehensible, but you should be able to separate them out from the file above.

YMBNH. That's the whole point. Then they become whatever you want them to be!
-
@Tsaukpaetra
Right at about 8 seconds is the most interesting..
Playing a second of the action from there.. Again and again and
in slow motion gives one a good idea of the movement that creature was doing.
Maybe even do a close up video of that replay for others to see.I am going to do similar with the Cloaked mothership video just to track it back to the first second where it showed up.. I have never seen that myself.. Look harder..

Is swampy posting going to be the hot new meme of 2020?
-
Nobody shares Knowledge quicker than this.. Nope
Quick is good.We went to Swamp shack yesterday and fed the Wild horses some hay cubes.. Mmmm.
Then
I offloaded to my PC
Renamed the files
Uploaded them to the net
And
made a quick change to my home page
Done

@SpectateSwamp they seem healthy enough at least.
-
Nobody shares hay cubes better than Colton
And smart..
I'm continually amazed by how the Herd works.
The Stud determines who gets pecked in the pecking order.
An outsider came to his pile of hay cubes and he made a pathetic attempt to bite Her.
Chasing her away a couple times before letting her and the foal have some.
The other mares are far more mean if their pile gets shared..
AND
They all know Colton can dish it out better than any Horse in the valley. Yup

Sure you can. Just download the .exe.

I need to do a Fast Forward fix.
Never thought that it would be of any value to ME.
I have hundreds and hundreds of hours of Video
Most of which the details have been forgotten.
Being able to watch these and any long long surveillance videos using FF would be super.
It shouldn't be hard to implement.
Right now when the speed is less than 1000 ... I play a short segment then pause based on that number.
Instead of a pause.. Just change the point where it resumes by adding a partial second or 2 based on that speed ie 10000 would be 10 faster. May 50 times would be even better.
update:
I am going to change the slo-mo feature....
I'll play the short segment THEN
Move the start point ahead of previous start by 2 to 10 thousands of a sec
playng the same clip multiple times thus: the NEW slo-mo
WOW what will the audio sound like. and the sky creatures shown.
I won't scrap the old way..if "oldslo" is in the FileName.. use the old way ... just to compare

Use Fancy FileNames: Apprentice Curator Tip #1
Nobody shares long filenames better than this. The BEST knowledge of all has to be the way long filenames / fancy filenames can work..
It has motivated me to go through my video hoard and put the details in those FN's
in doing so I have got back memories of some of the best video I shot.. WoW I love 'em
I have only done under 200 videos so far.
I just change the name after I watch some of them in the windows folder view.
Then I do the GF option to catalog those videos and Select that video to play.
Having the thumbnail on some clips that need it is easy to do and check out
This first pass at curating using the filename is just the initial step. .
I'll add more details to these fn's as time permits (curating is a work in progress)
-
Nobody finds info better than this
In curating the Faster Than Sight oldie videos..
I needed to search for those details buried deep in some text file.
First I merged every text file I have on my backup drive into a HUGE one.
291,248,207 lines and 13,289,553 kb of text
And
I found where in the files the sky critters showed up..
It was a good thing that I gave up searching for critters back then
because before I put in the Begin== feature... It was next to impossible to show the same segment.
Now
it;s easy.
Few if any search engines can deal with files this size.

Are you still using 2009 info to come to that conclusion?

the local paper rejected this ad
Unfortunately my editor will not publish your ad as F.D.A. Warns Companies to Stop Claiming Silver and Other Products Treat Coronavirus

I need to find my hand. After reading that post, it seems to have flown through my face, palm-first at alarming speeds. Who knows where it ended up.

@SpectateSwamp You're an idiot.
A bona-fide, no-questions-asked idiot.
Colloidal Silver does jack shit for coronavirus. "Traditional cures" are the biggest and most dangerous scam to prevent disease. Modern sanitizers have been proven to eliminate infectious disease.

I'd say that is piss poor. We need and have plenty of remedies in the natural world.Flu has been with us forever and nothing new
