RE: There's been an error with the error
It's funny indeed. Somebody probably put that in there ages ago, and it never turned up during testing.
You have to applaud the thoroughness though. How many websites would handle errors on error pages?

RE: TV Remote Control WTF
I suffer from the opposite: if I switch to 26, the TV immediately switches to channel 2, whereI have to wait 2 seconds for the image to appear. Then, when pressing the 6, it switches to 26. Couldn't they build in a timeout of a second, and not immediately switch to 2?

RE: Call off the guns
Selecting nothing, and clicking "click here to join", with an empty form, will accept the sign up form. No checking what so ever. I have no time to check for ' or '1'='1, but it wouldn't surprise me it it worked...

Car trouble && Google results
So you have a car. A 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse. And it sometimes stalls @ 2000rpm, and you have no clue why. What's better than googling for "Eclipse", and post on every forum you find???

To switch or not to switch, that's the question....
Found in the sourcecode of an online questionnaire:
switch (eventPar) {
case 'Q402489A[0]': OptionChanged(eventPar);break;
case 'Q402489A[1]': OptionChanged(eventPar);break;
case 'Q402489A[2]': OptionChanged(eventPar);break;
case 'Q402489A[3]': OptionChanged(eventPar);break;
}Why on earth would you do this?

Sun's idea of a follow up....
From Sun's "Core Java Technologies Tech Tips" newsletter, dated Feb. 11, 2006, it starts with this line:
"The May 11, 1999 Tech Tip titled Reference Objects introduced the concept of reference objects, but didn't go into much depth. In this tip, you'll learn more about this topic."
Thanks Sun, for letting me know.... nearly seven years after you first article about it.... Pfffff
