Now this conversation thoroughly confuses me. What was it that was on his keyboard? Have I read over something?
I mean...a sheep? What was he talking about?

I know there's a "default .NET version" for ASP.NET...maybe that was set to 2.0?
Mine is set at 1.1.4322

You can control the version of .net that will be used within IIS for the server side, but I am not aware of any client side configuration that will control the CLR used by IE.

Some guys from another team at my company ran across the exact same problem recently. They told me that there was no way you could force IE to use another version of .NET other than the most recent one installed.
The solution: They're going to create an application with an embedded IE. They said, that this allows them to selected the version used by IE. Might be WTF, too.
Uh, there are quite a few braces in that query....makes the whole thing harder to read than necessary. Especially the braces around "table.field" seem superfluous.
(Disclaimer: They might be needed in this particular case. I'm not that great with SQL. If so, ignore this post.)
Edit: I just noticed that I should have started this post with "The real WTF is" since nobody did already.

Yeah, sorry - I'm not used to warning people. There is no one right over my shoulder, and I'm pretty quick on the ALT-TAB. Besides, I know there are a lot of Europeans and other non-Americans here, and don't they see this kind of thing all the time? :)

Yeah, women walk barenaked through our office all the time :p
Is the WTF that there is no frameset dtd for XHTML?
Or the "HTML programmer" that did this, just took an ordinary HTML4 page changed the paths to say xhtml1 (and probably not modifying the rest of the html at all). Instant XHTML!
[quote user="HeroreV"]OMG! They aren't specifying the character encoding! What a huge WTF!

To be the third guy in the thread that says it: LOL!
What's wrong with you guys? As ammoQ's signature says: "Beanbag girl 4ever". (Although, I DO have to admit that the asian chick is pretty hot).
Hilarious. We have stores here that have a similar sign for as long as I live here (3 years now). Seems to work well for them.

Somehow they just really belive that computer science has nothign to do with computers. In German, we don't say "Computer Science", but "Informatik" that comes from "Information" and "Mathematik".
But most people here still think that "You studied Computers, can you fix my Windows?"...
