Ah yes... For a brief happy momen I forgot what a shithole Wordpress is.
Wordpress is the type of "software" that gives PHP a bad word...

RE: It's a toaster not a shell!
I was referring to the "doing things because they're cool to other programmers" mindset, not physical geography.
What exactly is wrong with "doing things because they're cool to other programmers" when your target audience is literally other programmers? Who else should they humor?
Also that stupid cookie thing is ended EU retardation.

Truth... But WP most certainly dows not help getting it better...
If you have ever tried to develop a plugin for WP you will know what a strinking pile of utter it is.
It manages to be even less consistent than PHP, not to mention unstable, undebugable, and with a horrible documentation. The only good thing about WP is that it only takes 5 minutes to set up your bug-ridden and put your first utter unimportant "post" on there.

Seems to be coming from their blog. Which may quite reasonably be running a BLOGGING system.
Which to be fair, looks even worse. At least the dictionary part is usable.

Most of the developers are in Russia. Which is why I said Eastern Europe.
Most of Russia is in Asia though.
It's more about lazy web developers.
Most types of cookies don't need consent at all.
While that might be true, that is usually not decided by the developers themselves.
And no matter what, the law is retarded. -

It'd be nice to create a better API for administering plugins, so they don't have to have that raw access. If you want an admin plugin, you have to write all the UI and CRUD yourself. This leads to plugin authors taking the shortest route their knowledge allows, and leaving gaping holes. Some sort of "CreateAdminForm(dictionary of UI widgets and values)" and "GatherAdminFormInput()" type APIs would be good.
This. A thousand times this.

RE: The state of Ubuntu on Windows
@RaceProUK he never claimed that Chrome is a service, he is saying that Chrome runs a service.
You're just saying that "technically" the Chrome service isn't a service, everybody is saying that from a user's POV it doesn't make a difference.

RE: Steam based their OS on Linux, so of course it's broken shit
To be fair, if he tried to update the resolution in sendmail.cf, it's no wonder it didn't work.

RE: The Ultimate pedantic pedantary
That show is pretty amazing.
We only get old episodes on BBC Brit, but it really is something.Basic premise: You win if you have more obscure and pointless knowledge than 100 random people

That is why we can't have nice things.

Literally the first Google result
I could've sworn that wasn't there when I last tried.
Oh well, that will be looked into tomorrow morning. -

@FrostCat I'm not talking about on this particular forum.
I've "worked" with Indians from a large consulting agency, and believe me they used it, and without any form of irony. That and massive mail-threads seemed to be their calling card.
Please remove me from this list.
Now, 4 months after switching to a different client entirely, I'm still getting CC'ed on communication so often I have a quick button in outlook to mark as read and move.

@RaceProUK I figured as much.
I worked with some Indians at a client. They said it all the time.
Ever worked with Indians? -

can you do the needful?
I didn't realize you where Indian?
"Please do the needful and revert" is my favorite indianism. It seems so pointless to do what is needed, and then undo it.

RE: Consider Changing Your Password?
At least it's 150 days between changes.
That's great, then they can be sure you won't remember the problems, and will waste even more time doing something meaningless.

RE: 🔥 I see Korean mercenaries talking to the same restaurant in Utah! Should I go eat 💩?!
Just read part of that (very long) article on the raid.
If the account is true, then the Texas CPS sound pretty much criminally insane...Note: I have never heard about the FLDS before, and do not condone any type of child abuse. I also do not condone abuse of power by any government anywhere.
