It just occurred to me that the javascript error messages that Internet Explorer generates (you know: the crap, inaccurate*, unexplicit ones), are an excellent metaphor for the practice of estimating people's emotional state by how they act or what they say, and being very wrong or very right about it.
Who knew Mircosoft was such a wise company in providing us antisocial programmers with these teachings.
*) line numbers seem to be fixed in IE8, tho.
