Lost in Translation
Apparently using the in-house translation service really didn't help Swansea Council when it wanted to get the Welsh equivelant of:
"No entry for heavy good vehicles. Residential site only"
The emailed the translator and got the reply back:
"Nid wyf yn y swyddfa ar hyn o bryd. Anfonwch unrhyw waith i'w gyfieithu"
The trouble is that this translates to "I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated"

WTF? This has already been posted three days ago.Yep it sure has, and I missed it because it was posted in funny stuff which I don't in general look at. Plus even if I had looked in funny stuff I doubt I would have looked at an "Out of Office sign". So appologies for the repost.
