I buy 1d6-1 most years and play 1d3 of them.

@hungrier Less useful than you might think – it has a tendency to rest on the curved surface, putting the edge between two faces on top.
Only because it’s relevant, here’s a random simulation video I made two years ago. If you want it run longer go render it yourself.

A quarter-gram of mercury would fix that problem.

I have some d4s like that. I like them very much. (Two opposite sides are replaced by a U-curve.) I've never had them land with the curve face up.

That sounds biased.

Yeah, to count the shit I pirated on the C64 would, hrm, somewhat raise the average but as that phase ended like 30 years ago I don't.

@LaoC statute of limitations is a nice thing. I have to keep saying I've always got all my games legally for a few years longer.

You grew up in Poland. Nobody's gonna believe that.

@error_bot roll (1d6-1)÷1d3
-
1.333(1d6 (5) - 1 (4)) ÷ 1d3 (3) (1.333) = 1.333
-
Shit. Got the fraction flipped. 1/n
-
@error_bot eval (4/3)^-1
-
0.75(4 / 3 (1.333)) ^ -1 (0.75) = 0.75
-

Central expected value: 57% (under the assumption that all dies are fair).
