Google and Microsoft machine translated shit

Because my browser is set to portuguese google always brings the shitty machine translated version of the pages that is absolute garbage. (Bing gave me the correct page, I think I'll start using bing for microsofty stuff)

https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/173424 (or the equivalent for your browser?)

Pretty fast, I think.

@Parody it's not the browser shitty translator, that I already disabled. Microsoft does their own shitty translation of their documentation
-
@sockpuppet7 So all you need to do is define the order of the "accept languages" of your browser: en-US comes first, thus you get rid of those translations.

And then when he reads local news in Portuguese they'll start serving that as machine translated shit?
The solution should be to stop serving machine translated shit at all unless specifically requested.

@BernieTheBernie The downside of that is that you then have half of the universe (i.e., Google) show you stuff in an insane date format, using a 12h clock, comma as a thousands separator, and a length scheme derived from how large steps your average Roman would take.

It's not the browser, it's Google. I can change google's language on my account, but it would affect other websites that don't serve machine transalated gibberish.

No, it doesn't. At least on my machine.

Kinda looks like he was hit from behind causing a nasty jackknife. Assuming the red thing is a trailer he was pulling.

The only thing that could hit something like this from behind and result in what we're seeing is either a train (unlikely, they're supposed to be on top of the bridge and we'd probably see it if one wasn't) or a 40t truck traveling way faster than it's allowed to with a driver so full of meth that he imagines he could just tunnel through that bridge with 4m max height in the first place.
-
@LaoC The red thing is a (liquid) manure spreader. I think that the tractor was flooring it (max speed of about 50km/h) and suddely braked. The tractor and spreader suddenly decelerated, but the liquid inside the tank didn't, causing a big wave inside, and then causing the jackknife
-
@Mingan I can only assume that as he was crashing, the driver was yelling "SHIIIII--
-
@hungrier Considering the average farmer, a large amount of loud swearing happened, yes. There's about 300k worth of damage in that picture (omitting the bridge)
-
@Mingan Ah. So a wave hit it and the front fell off?
