Twitter videos yielding 401

So, I was wondering why the Twitter videos don't play for me since recently. I get the "play" button but nothing happens.
Console yields this:
For the record, I didn't click 460 times on that button, the requests happen automatically at roughly 20 per second.
It seems that this stems from the fact that I'm not logged into Twitter - I actually signed out because on another forum, the links to Twitter posts don't work there if you're signed in.
