(Fixed) Swiping left takes you to top of page?
-
I'm on chrome/android, with pagination enabled.
Scroll down in a thread and swipe left to open the sidebar (you don't have to open it fully, just a tiny bit). You should then get moved back up to the top of the current page. It's really annoying if you happen to move your thumb the wrong way while scrolling - maybe the sidebar should open with a button instead?
Can anyone repro?

@bb36e nexus 5x swipe brings out a menu. Didn't know it would do that.
The top swipe is right and down. (Discoverable and user friendly to go to top when swiping down!)Further play suggests it's just hyper sensitive, and rolls like a loose mouse wheel for touch.
-
@bb36e pagination not enabled, apparent repro..

Ok, this one's annoying. Reading mid-thread, silghtly misswipe to the left instead of strictly downwards sends you to the top again.

I was wondering what was going on. I accidentally swiped left on my desktop-view tablet, and a lovely expanse of white-ness greeted me. I guess that's supposed to hold the hamburger menu?
The layout is uber-jacked up when this happens...
-
Ok, I'm able to repro with Chrome when emulating a portrait-mode tablet, but not when emulating a landscape-mode table.
-
@ben_lubar Oh hey! If I make the browser small enough to switch to the mobile layout, it actually animates the hamburger menu out!
Kinda neat, if it wasn't broken like so...

Can't repro on our community forum, actually
Looks like a tdwtf only bug...
-
@julianlam ok, I think I found it.
@bb36e @Matches @PJH @Tsaukpaetra @HardwareGeek refresh. Is it fixed?
-
@ben_lubar looks good now here (Android Chrome, 720px)
-
@ben_lubar Appears fixed for me, testing on an iPad in portrait mode (which gets the mobile layout).
-
@ben_lubar fixed in android opera
-
-
I still get it.
Edit: Nevermind, had to refresh more vigorously.
-
@ben_lubar Actually no, I do still get it. A partial swipe that doesn't actually open the menu is more effective at causing it than actually hitting the menu, but it still sometimes does it even then.

@ben_lubar I can't get it to happen any more on my Nexus 6 so I think it's fixed now

@DoctorJones I don't know, he's taking our bashing pretty well so far... I'm kinda afraid that his dev team might have to ban him or something the way this is going.
