Hey, PHP can has hip job ads too!
-
The problem with hiring PHP ninja-s is, if you can find them, they aren't a very good ninja after all.
-
I find the
die("Have a nice day");
to have some ... unfortunate connotations.
-
Pah! Amateur!
It should clearly be
if(isset($_POST['interested']) && $_POST['interested'])
Oh, no, wait, this will generate a
NOTICE
level warning. That's expected in PHP. Carry on...
-
Shouldn't there be a
?>
somewhere?
-
die("In the fires of Hell. And *not* the one in Michigan.");
-
I find the
die("Have a nice day");
to have some ... unfortunate connotations.Yeah ...
die("Hasta la vista, baby");
would have been better
-
Shouldn't there be a
?>
somewhere?
Nope. It's optional. But you may want to put one anyway because it feels unbalanced — as long as you're careful about not adding empty lines below it, or they'll come out in the output.

print
and anecho
in there, it probably should have. To expound:If a file is pure PHP code, it is preferable to omit the PHP closing tag at the end of the file. This prevents accidental whitespace or new lines being added after the PHP closing tag, which may cause unwanted effects because PHP will start output buffering when there is no intention from the programmer to send any output at that point in the script.
emph mine.
I'd be more interested in why they're using both
print
andecho
is such a short script. And if we're getting really critical, where is$interested
defined?And where's the indentation
-

And where's the indentation
To me that looks like something posted via LinkedIn. Maybe the indentation was swallowed when posting.
I'd be more interested in why they're using both print and echo is such a short script.
And why there's no space being outputted between the two.

Doesn't anyone know about Alt+255?
EDIT: Discourse knows about it, and filters it out...
-
ÿ
?
-
No, it's a non-breaking space.
-
-
-
Alt+0160 works.
A
B
Cedit: I guess not, I saw that indented momentarily after posting but then it collapsed.

It's like a Schwarzenegger one-liner from that 1980s movie where he played a computer programmer whose daughter is kidnapped I just made up in my head.

I would like to invest in this movie.

I would like to invest in this movie.Coming soon to a theater near you: Arnold Schwarzenegger is THE DEBUGGER.
(Tag: a shot of Arnold with a gun pointed at the camera. Arnold says "GOTO Hell" and pulls the trigger. Cut to black.)
It practically writes itself.

The original code will, because
$interested
is not defined, presumably. If it's defined in another file, well... that's almost worse.Mine won't ;)
-
And if we're getting really critical, where is $interested defined?
They are looking for PHP3 developers and it comes from register_globals.

you find me an 13 inch QHD* screen laptop with an Core i7-5500U, 12GB of DDR3, a GTX940M, 512GB SSD, at least 3 USB3 ports for under $750 that has a numpad and i'll consider it. Until then i'll keep going with my (same specs as before) without numpad laptop.
* that's a 3200x1800 screen resolution

you told be to get a better laptop. i think i have a pretty fly one already. if you disagree i gave you the specs i require in a laptop so you can find me a better one.

HTH, HAND, etc etc
now i have ANOTHER thing to carry around with me!
i already have the wacom tablet, the charger, the usb3 to gigE dongle, the headphones, the xbox controller, and the cupholder to carry! when will it end?!
-
Well, hey, I'm not the one who was so cheap as to consider paying less than $750 more important than having a number pad.
Sometimes it's expensive to be cheap, IYKWIMAITYD
-
xbox controller
cupholder
You carry a cupholder?! Why don't you just hold the belgiuming cup And why don't you have GigE built-in?
-
Though yours has the much more entertaining description.
Compliance with the USB 1.1 and USB 2.0
Brand New (Never used)

English, how does it work? Google Translate, y u make me look so bad?

-
You carry a cupholder?!
well, i do occasionally want to put the cup down to play games, platformers and dual stick shooters kind of need both hands.
And why don't you have GigE built-in?
laptop's too thin for the connectior. that's what you pay for using an ultrabook-esque size laptop.if i wanted built in gigE i'd have kept my 17" monstrosity of a laptop that weighed three times as much as Asteria does.
-
isn't it build in?
they used to be. now it's all about selling you the base model with nothing in and then charging you an arm and a tail for the "optional" extras.
-
-
A table/the floor doesn't suffice?
i suppose it would, but the cupholder not only keeps me from putting warermarks on the nice wood table, it also lets me use these shiny silvery discs that have pictures oon them that the computer can display real fast one after the other.... if you can let your eyes relax just right it can look like it's only one picture that's moving..... it's really cool.
-
Well, hey, I'm not the one who was so cheap as to consider paying less than $750 more important than having a number pad.
well, what can i say i like to shop around for deals.
i may have only paid 750$ for Asteria, but her MSRP is 1.4k$
