Avoid snow and ice then.
BMW and Minis version of that system is hilariously awful. More than just an instant of wheelslip and it throws the TPMS light. Which disables traction control and ABS.
Because it cannot decide whether the momentary speed difference was from a flat tire or a bad ABS sensor (which drives traction control).

It's a VW.

I've driven through two winters on snow and ice, and have never had it throw the tyre light when the traction control kicks in.
I've seen the "check tyres" warning thrice - once when a tyre had a puncture, once when a tyre was overinflated, and once when it wasn't reset after replacing 2 tyres.

But LIQUIFIER man! Seriously! Whole new worlds of speed (and intensive pressure regulation and temperature control) would open up for you. Think, of, the gadgetry.

My Kia's TPMS never worked. From the day I got it to the day it was a total, the light was amber, which I believe means "sensor problem". All four sensors were replaced, the tires were replaced several times, but it never worked.

I don't know if they have Discount Tire or America's Tire in Seattle, but they'll do a free air check and fill if they're low, you didn't even need to buy the tires there.

Sheetz has these too and they're great.

Almost all tire joints do if they aren't swamped. Costs nothing but sunk costs and they eyeball the tires in case they're done and they can make a sale.
