On topic:
Several months back, I had a discussion that basically amounted to this:
Me: Hey @boss, there's a pretty bad OpenSSL bug that allows people to POD a server (and bring Apache to its knees while it's at it...), the fix is already out, we should upgrade OpenSSL ASAP.
Boss: Thanks for telling me, we'll fix it after a while, I don't want to be too paranoid about this security stuff. I'll update when I get around to it.
Me: Erm, OK... uh, the site I got that info from literally had "Update today, not tomorrow" in the article title...
Boss: I really don't want to spend too much time on this security stuff. We'll update it when we get around to it. Is that OK?
Me: Erm, no, not really, but it's your company and website...I covered my bases at least. If he doesn't update, it's his fault...

Yeah, he was only a week (ow) behind.
Personally I made sure every machine I owned (all 10 of them) was updated within the hour...
