Sorting the latest topics listing and then clicking to show updated topics ignores the sort order

If the topics are sorted by anything other than activity (the default), the blue bar for updated topics adds them at the top and ignores the previous sorting.

Expected
Either the topics are placed based on the current sort and highlighted, or the sort order is reverted to the default as activity.

Actual
the topics stop being sorted in any meaningful way.
