๐The cupcake thread of celebrations.
-
that whole drought this, not to mention 90 degree weather.
-
oooh right West Coast vs East coast....
-
I am celebrating rescuing that nacho from the cheese cup.
Well, I was. it was a short-lived celebration.
-
I'm kinda afraid what kind of cupcake would come up for nacho cheese cup rescue.

This board ain't for the faint of heart, son.
I figure @Yamikuronue likes a challenge.
-
still 93F here

Celebrating that my juror group didn't get called for tomorrow.

"Sorry, I can't come in for jury duty because I'm 1,000 miles away" is the best excuse ever.

Drought isn't "west coast" it's just California. Here in Washington we're drowning in the water stuff.
And also, I really hate when people say "west" to mean "California, specifically". Because California is the most shithole of all western States.

Is your house in the Snohomish River? You might want to move to higher ground.
-
I'm celebrating because i have @sockbot rolling not just DnD dice, not even with prerolling, rerolling crits and bonus scoring, but i have Fate/Fudge dice implemented.
now to work on WhiteWolf rolling
-
-
they make some RPGs like wizards of the coast
they are rather popular here in cold Maine where a game of RPG is a great way to beat cabin fever

I hate 99% of this state.

Sorry--I know what White Wolf is. I meant "white wolf rolling."
Also, my wife's from southern Maine.
-
all the white wolf games, at least the ones i've been shown, use a system of rolling that uses only d10s where you roll a set number to determine magical (or mundane) successes based on a target number (which is how difficult it is to do the thing you want to do)
it's a neat system and i want sockbot to handle it.

-
hmm.... idea for an easter egg....
:-D
-
meah
-
where do you keep getting these and can i steal them?
-
The domain that can be found by looking at where these images are hosted
-
huh... i was going to say thedailywtf.com but it seems that discourse has stopped automatically rehosting images, at least for some domains.
/me wanders off to read comics

there may have been cupcakes, you'd have to ask @Yamikuronue
comicjk, I considered it the poor man's xkcd, but it stopped updating around 2012, I have no idea why.
-
-
There seem to be many of those.
-
Yeah, I saw that one, but it doesn't scream out the way pendantry does.
-
-
One for @ben_lubar:
-
I don't get it. Google+ wasn't discontinued. Buzz content was added to Google+ and Wave never had a stable release.
-
sorry, @Yamikuronue, this is my thread now
-

Yes but they answer real needs, don't do any of them quite right and never hit critical mass no matter what shit Google pulls.
-
You just described every useful concept known to man.
<Filed under: I'm being sarcastic>

Yes but they answer real needs
What real need did G+ answer? "turning itself into a reverse MySpace-after-Facebook?" Generally you try to replace your predecessor, not turn into your predecessor's predecessor.

It mentioned Go, and you replied to it. This is like jingling keys above a baby.
-
-
Actually, it mentioned @ben_lubar, which is something I have invested a lot of time into.
-
Please don't teabag the baby.
-
-
-
Why would you use the DOM in a molecular dynamics simulator?
<Has anyone private messaged ben_lubot yet?>
-
Ha--apparently someone's put in CSS or something that blocks XKCD.
-
That someone would have to be you, since it shows up for me.
-
Weird. I don't see it. I had to view the raw post to see what you'd done, since you normally can't leave a blank body.
-
<why not?>
-
Still don't see it, even after a refresh. Don't see the one you put in the most recent post, either.
The first one showed up in IE though.
@discoursebot, take it away.

Facebook with better privacy controls and a sense of proper asymmetry in describing relationships. But it wasn't done quite right to replace Fartbook.
-
Whoooosh. That was a popularity dig.
