@Gąska
I bet yours was more polished

@Luhmann it's a pretty funny story actually. It was like 15-page business plan. I copied it from the internet in its entirety, slightly altering wording. It just so happened that when we were turning in our assignments, the guy after me had done the same thing from the same source. The professor even asked how come we have the same topic and the exact same introduction section. Still gave us passing grades.

Plagiarise. That's why the good god made your eyes so you can plagiarise plagiarise plagiarise.

Pfff. Björn Ulvaeus wrote a song about a wife thinking about her husband living with his new woman. He performed this song while Agnetha Fältskog sang - they were divorcing at the time and he was living with his new partner.
(that's ABBA and "The Winner Takes It All", of course)

@MrL The FB post I stole that from did mention ABBA.

Boomers misspell "effing" (or is it supposed to be "deafening"?) and think Comic Sans is fine.

There are exceptions. There was this company some former colleagues ended up in that realized this, banned email (internally) and replaced it with phone calls and crappy forum software…

crappy forum software
Let me guess, did it have anything to do with equines and bad music?
-
@HardwareGeek No, it predates that particular PoS (it was ~10 years ago). And I have never seen it, just was told about it, so I can't tell exactly how crappy it was. I was just told about how the company decided that because people spend so much time answering e-mails, they should replace e-mails with something else as if it was e-mail, and not the communication overhead, that incurred the time cost.

I just watched another one of this guy's stories, and I'd like to believe that he's a magnet for trouble, or his school board is comprised of the last-place graduates from remedial school board studies, but I suspect this kind of bureaucratic insanity is all too common.

He got fired in the middle of teaching a class, supposedly because he was missing some class from his certification. He actually had it, but the school board lost his transcript. Whoopsy-daisy. The only way to get re-hired would be to provide his transcript within 24 hours. Not only that, but it has to be a physical copy with an official seal. So luckily enough, he lives close enough to the college that it's only a few hours drive there, and again going back. He gets re-hired, but as a final insult the school board deducts the days he missed (when he was fired) out of his sick days.
