Coyne the Dup: WTH am I doing here?
-
This type of activity is really not my thing; I hate having everyone look at me. You can ask questions, but if they are the wrong ones I might..."Run away!" Or even "...run away more!" to see if I can confuse you.
Or just stop answering entirely. Whatever.
-
Is it bad that until now I have always misread your username as "CoyneTheDerp"?
-
Sounds like you need new lenses. That's "Dup" as in "Duplicate".
"Derp" hmmm? I've been called worse (and no, I'm not telling).
-
Hmm, I always read it as "Coyne The Dupe"
-
This is too slow. We can't be doing this one person at a time. Worse, someone will say, "I read it Derp," and everyone else will keep quiet. Information, people!
We need a poll. So here it is. Please vote to indicate how you have read my name ever since I joined.

Okay, question time:
Tell us about a time you had a conflict with a coworker. How did you resolve it? What was the outcome?
Describe a situation when you procrastinated at work. Why were you slacking off?
Married, single, divorced?
Do you still beat the neighbor's kids?
What part of FL? (I grew up in Miami)

Hmmm...I usually dodge those, huge wimp. The boss told me I had no idea what I was doing, so I decided to switch jobs. I was already in the process of deciding; that was the tipping point.
Describe a situation when you procrastinated at work. Why were you slacking off?
When solving a balancing problem; mostly because I had no idea how to proceed. (The system in question had never been balanced in its 23 years of operation...no one had ever had any idea how to balance it.) BTW: it balances now, figured it out.
Married, single, divorced?
Single, always single.
Do you still beat the neighbor's kids?
And you think this is a worthy question? Next question, please.
What part of FL? (I grew up in Miami)
Orlando by mailing address; the "suburb" is Lockhart. I lived in Winter Springs for a while, up to 1996.
Came here from Lincoln Nebraska, where I went to Union College and worked (same college) for a while. Born in Sheridan, Wyoming; in varying locations within 100 miles of there until age 6; then Leiter, Wyoming until I graduated high school.

So if I changed my avatar that would cause problems for you?

the results seem conclusive....

Yeah, I guess I spelled it wrong when I signed up.

Off topic but I always thought you were CreatedToDisl. Did you have a mod name change/it was an alt/ducksauce-formatting-issue/my eyes suck etc... ?
-
Never changed. Coyne all my life. Except when I was "Butch", but that's another story.
-
Sorry, that was to @CreatedToDislikeThis, just noticed his name wasn't what I thought it was while considering yours. I should have PM'd him instead of messing up your thread.
Except when I was "Butch", but that's another story
That sounds like an interesting tale though? You seem like a man that would know what Marcellus Wallace looks like
-
I was looking for "Coyne the Dyke", only to be disapoint.
-

My father was Coyne L., my grandfather Coyne C.; I'm Coyne E. With so many "Coyne"s nicknames were issued: "Sonny" for my father, "Butch" for me. Everyone at home still calls me Butch.
I don't get the Marcellus Wallace reference; maybe it would help if I watched Pulp Fiction? Elaborate.

Well, that's an awesome nickname. But yes, that was a reference from Pulp Fiction, Butch is a main character who is a boxer. You'll have to watch it for the 'looks like' bit or I'll ruin one of the best scenes. Great film.

To mess up the thread further, I was indeed previously named created_just_to_disl (which should've ended with ..ike_this, but I ran up against the character limit).
I then requested a rename to something less literally broken. Now, back to ogling Coyne's name, which I still repeatedly read as Coney.
<><script>Probably because I recently watched the best tv show, which had a one-off character named that.

So, are you dyslexic with other words?
