Telstra: The Vortex of Incompetence

Well, officially there's only one nation-wide broadband / cable provider left in the Netherlands
Ziggo / UPC. They're just better at hiding it.

Overall my experiences with Ziggo's tech support department have been good. The modem/router they supplied (a Cisco EPC3925) is quite a shitty router/hotspot, so I wanted to use something different for that instead without doing double NAT.
I called them a few weeks ago to have the routing functionalities disabled and 90 seconds later it was done. :)

LOL "Ziggo."
That cartoon was kind of stupid, but a little bit cute.

After the merger, they standardized on the 'Ziggo' name, and combined that with all the best practices that made 'UPC' into such a bad word.

The original Ziggo (the company before UPC bought it) was created by merging three smaller cable companies: Casema, @Home and Multikabel. During the merger they used the working title 'Zesko'.
I've always preferred that name over Ziggo, but I don't know why.
