Wurst of the wurst... I expect to see PHP win so many of the votes, and I suspect only some of the old-timers will vote MUMPS.

My main beef with IDEs is people who can't code outside of one, not that they exist.
It's not a "can/can't" thing, it's a "why would I want to?" thing.
Sure, I can dig a freeway drainage ditch with a teaspoon, but why would I want to?

Spare time project for the unemployed blakeyrat: a universal build adapter for VS, so that one can hit F7 and have it go through whatever system your project currently uses instead of the built-in msbuild stuff. Now, that could prevent a small legion of WTFs caused by legacy or otherwise custom build systems...
