As a fellow full-stack dev, I can identify with some of your problems. I also look at the job board every once in a while, and "full stack developer" roles are few and far between.
On the other hand, while most small shops might write "a .NET developer", what they actually mean is "a .NET developer, database and server admin, tester, business analyst, frontend dev, script cowboy, and a designer". They just don't say all that because they are afraid to scare off prospects.
I know we made that mistake the last time we posted an ad. Asked for "PHP developer", while we were actually hoping for a versatile full stack guy, who happens to currently specialize in PHP.
So, go for smaller companies and ignore their specialist-targeted ads. They actually want a "tech guy", they are just afraid to ask.
As for contracting, my only advice there is, don't. If you were outside of EU, I would advise going for a remote role through freelancer or upwork. But then, you'd be thrown into an arena with millions of $5 per hour Indians (and soon Chinese). So, yeah. No remote work for you.

I would say the opposite. I'm not a people person, and that's why I liked contracting. By the time I realized what @!(*$ the people were, it was time to leave and go somewhere else.
I have often found it strange that languages have a word for "lonely", but no word representing the feeling of wanting to be away from people.

Not really. I this case, the difference of opinion is between how I see your behaviour, both as exhibited directly in this thread, and as reported by yourself in other threads, and how you see it. And although it's based on a mixture of what could be just very good acting, and biased second hand reportage, I'm almost certain I've read it pretty much right.
But I'm pleased you've got something out of my comments, at least.

No, absolutely not. Introverted is a description of a personality type. Loneliness is a feeling. The words are not comparable at all.
When you look at the rare crimes that introverts commit, and the mass crimes that extroverts commit (which the extroverts don't admit are crimes), introverts are far safer.

@Yamikuronue I'm going to butt back into this thread to say I think the number one obstacle lucas1 is going to have to a contracting or management gig is going to be his weak people skills.
Also I know you guys think I'm some kind of dick who just pretends not to understand stuff, but I was generally confused by your the first post in a General Help thread that does not ask any questions or for any advice. There was no pretending involved.
