@accalia You just mentioned the old Discourse flavor of 502. That wasn't that wrong, you need to read that as a short for:
We're having a 502, you'll have to wait. OK?

Because it's funny every time I get confused by it.
- Thursday before the long weekend, my coworker pranks his (and my) boss by changing his keyboard layout to Dvorak.
- Coworker decides to leave for the day and "work" from home Friday.
- Friday: boss sends urgent, strongly worded text messages calling coworker to the office. Threatens to revoke work-from-home privileges.
- Coworker throws on clothes and rushes to the office, speeding all the way.
- Nobody's at the office (not even boss); it's Friday before 4th of July.
- Instead of being irritated by this, coworker laughs and says "he got me pretty good!"

I like that the error response returned was invalid JSON (they mangled the quotes somehow).
Filed under: Scarier that it seemed to imply that they rolled their own JSON implementation.
