Workplace Confessional (beyond IT)
-
Workplace Confessional is a new effort, inspired by Dilbert, WTF, and my office. A spot for the cubicle slave (or anyone else) to earnestly open up his/her/its heart and purge the staining impurities left behind by professional work.
The site's a work in progress, but have a look around, drop in your own confessions or the one-liners from the watercooler.
Because confession is good for the soul. And the workplace isn't.

Looks good, but I don't see an RSS option anywhere. That's a really nice feature to have.
-
It's linked in the headers; most browsers should be able to pick up on it as a part of the website. But a more prominent subscription bit wouldn't be bad, now that you mention it.
/me adds to the to-do list

This is something like clientcopia
-
Although it is something similar to Clientcopia, it's not directed only at clients, but rather everybody. Managers, bosses, coworkers, interns, etc.
-
How do you "direct" something at "everybody" ?

Line them up first.

heh
And my apologies for bumping an old thread, but I just pushed release 2 of WPC online. The site is now almost entirely anonymous, eliminating the need for a registration process. Stop by and toss in a story or quote if you've nothing better to do. Or even if you do.
Oh, and hey - given that you guys are the type who'd use this kind of thing, I'd love to get feedback.

The site's pretty.
There's inconsistent interaction between the front page items and the archive items, the archive titles are in a really narrow column (so basically every title is wrapped), and the text is as wide as possible (which easily creates lines far too long for comfortable reading).
-
Not entirely sure what you mean by that - is this on the frontpage or the archives?
-
On the front page you have a list of titles to the left, and when you click on them, the full thing comes in the right column, and there's a visual connection between the two, with the darker background.
That's good.
The archives don't have this.

This is a good idea. Possible two separate archives would help in the designing of that, "Confessions" and "Overheard."
