Firefox Asinine Grinning Balloon Crap

What's the score with that tab in Chrome only showing the icon?
-
It's a pinned tab, so people don't see that it's a forum with weird thread titles (and having the WTDWTF tab icon always in the same part of the screen is a nice bonus).
-
-
Really?
Firefox even copied that feature from Chrome.
-
Really. I don't pay attention to that menu or what's on it other than Duplicate.
-
Clearly it lacks proper Unicode support
discourse appears to work on it though.
at least enough to read. ;-)
-
Harder to flirt though; no emoji
-
back in my day we just had IRC and the only "emoji" we had were little one line ASCII art doodles!
/me is waving a cane vigorously in the air that should really be used for keeping @accalia on her feet... whoops. never mind. it's a moo point now.

But you could shovel the walk while you're out there. Getting another load of global warming this morning.

So everything after the <small> tag renders small in preview but not in the actual post?!4

WONTFIX WORKSFORME

I'm amazed it works in Lynx at all.

I'm amazed it works in Lynx at all.
Non-JS enabled browsers have read-only access to Dicsource. Search engine spiders get the same version of the forum.
You're right though, it is nothing short of a miracle that it works. Does that mean that using a text-only browser is Doing It Right™?
-
Ohhhh yeah. I'd forgotten about non-JS mode.
-
I was using Lynx before it was cool....oh wait...Never mind.

Closest I had handy.

So how old do you guys think I am?

Old.

So how old do you guys think I am?
As old as tongue and slightly older than your teeth.
50 forumpointzzz to everyone who recognizes that without googling or reading later comments.
-
It's a British thing I think?
-
My dad always said it, and so do I.
-
Does that mean that using a text-only browser is Doing It Right™?
It's a targeted usecase, so I think that means yes.
Forums repeatedly produce gems of knowledge, and people stuck in text-only mode should be able to view them.

People stuck with a graphical bells-and-whistles-included browser should be able to view them too. Too bad that's not the Discourse way... *cough*WSOD*cough*
Only semi-kidding though, the WSOD situation has improved lately.

Ever since that auto-close bug was fixed a while back, in fact

That's what we got for having the audacity to use in-built functionality to close topics, I guess.
Especially as, IIRC, it was /t/1000 which caused it.

I right-clicked on the butt-ugly thing and audibly sighed with relief when "remove from toolbar" was an available option. I also hadn't noticed it until I read this thread.
