CLOSED- INVALID: Topic titles are not consistent colour
-
@pjh can you reapply the CSS that makes topics titles stay the same colour? because the "coldmap" coloring is extremely annoying and highly inconsistent .
thanks!

No repro? They all appear to be the same colour?

Are you definitely using the customised TDWTF stylesheet?

I see some of them in gr
æ
y. Not sure if it’s a new thing, though.

done: this is after confirming i'm on tdwtf default and not discourse default (or at least according to the theme selector) a hard refresh:

No - old. Been there since we started - never did figure out the significance; I just usually rely on New and Unread and go by unread count depending on how much time I have to devote to reading the topic.

Still not seeing the coldmap on the title...

Still not seeing the coldmap on the title...
maybe i'm using the wrong word.... the titles are all different shades of grey rather than the same one.
it's annoying and i know @pjh fixed it at one point for us.... either that or my memory is playing one hell of a cruel trick on me.

If you're talking about the grey titles, that's never been a thing, and has always been there for us. They might have made the difference a bit more prominent, but apart from that, not a lot has changed in that respect.
and i know @pjh fixed it at one point for us
Nope...

I think it's always been like that for me, but I might also be misremembering. I never knew what it meant though.

It's the "clicked this link color".
Except it never really worked iirc.

This.

AFAICT, it works just like any other link. If you've visited that specific URL, your browser colors it visited. However, since the URL keeps changing, so does the color.- If you have any unread posts in the topic, it will point to the first unread post, which is unvisited.
- If you have read all the posts, it will point to the last post.
- If there was only one unread post when you read the topic, the link was and is still pointing to that post, so the link will be visited.
- Otherwise, the link you visited pointed to an earlier post. This URL is still unvisited.
At least that's how it works if you have history spamming disabled. I'm not entirely sure how that affects your browser's idea of visited links.

This - beat me to it.

Exactly. I find it useful, as it allows me to find which topics I've read (in new tabs) without reloading the topic list.
