what kind of moron do you take me for? I don't just run arbitrary code I download from places!
(Instead I pay for it THEN download arbitrary code)

+1 because I used all my likes in the other topic.
There's your problem. Reading these other topics.

No, it's not 'other topics'. It's That Topic. Not even the kind that gives you a hazelnut in every bite.

Are you one of those gluten-free hippies?
Escape From Gluten is one of my favourite movies.

Testing this Chrome extension.
Temporarily dragging this back on topic, the extension is wonderful. Click the icon, click the element to remove, hit escape (or click the icon again) to finish. It also has keyboard shortcuts, but I like clicking when I'm web browsing.

So it's like xkill for the internet? Cool!

I'm going to say yes, but I don't think I've ever needed to use xkill.

I preferred xblast; why just kill a window when you can shoot freaking holes in it? (For sheer annoyance value though, the “winner” was always xmelt; that caused me to learn to secure my Xserver…)

This is a long time ago, so the first step back then was turning on xhost. Then going to using xauth. Not very secure, but enough to defeat the trivial stuff that was used for hacking things back then. (In my defence, SSL and SSH were not ubiquitously available back then; they were later innovations that made properly locking things down so much easier.)
