What is the purpose of this notification?
-
When clicked, it leads to
Is it notifying me that I put a link in my post? Because I know I put a link in my post. It's my post.
EDIT: I am editing this post.
-
Hmmm, I don't have a notification after linking to this post.
-
I do:
Did it go backwards in this case for some reason? Should that notification have gone to PJH?@PJH Do you have a matching notification?
-
Edit your initial post here, I bet that I get a notification (see how @PJH edited the linked post in your screenshot).
-
-
Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
-
Yes you do:
That matches the notification I don't understand why I received
-
When was your post that linked to the thing pointing at the post by @PJH? As the image of what it links to looks like it had an edit 5 minutes ago, perchance that is what it was attempting to let you know.
EDIT: N/M already pointed out and confirmed
-
Huzzah!
So it's just stupid, not a glitch.
-
Pretty much. Wrong notification type? It'd be more useful if the icon in the notification list mirrored that of the edit icon in the post.
-
You mean this one?
It'd be confusing to have the same icon for both cases
Maybe something like:
-
It'd be a bit more clear, since it's not coming from system. But maybe a combination of the pencil and the arrow would be better.
-
Like the suggestion I made? (Note that the changed icon is the LAST one, not the first)

Brillant minds...

Brillant minds do not develop Discourse.
-
I should have used hand-drawn circles:
-
Like I said, Brillant Minds do not develop Discourse.
-
Brillant minds do not develop Discourse.
Brilliant minds do not develop Discourse; brillant minds do!
-
No, Jeff's not even worthy of being called brillant.
