Brazil is out!

Nice. Wanted to find a nice meme of the German victory, but there are surprisingly few that aren't Nazi related.
It's been nearly a hundred years and there's still no let up for them.

We're celebrating their first attempt this year however.

It's not fair to blame them from WWI... at least not exclusively.
Filed under: We know what that leads to.

Just the usual off-by-31 error.
But my post is just going to get more and more accurate for 31 years to come.

I'm afraid you can't melt out of the blunder that easily. Your post has been timestamped - future generations will always know that on July 14, 2014 at 11:55 am (local time), you said: "It's been nearly a hundred years".
-
Discourse only allows for a ten-year plan not for something that is 30 years futureproof.
-
Since we speak about WWI and WWII I think we can assume that somebody thought it was such a smashing hit that a sequel was in order.

Are you trying to introduce novel concepts here?

So, future readers of the "Brazil is out!" thread will think it is about Germany vs Argentina.
-
Hey at least the thread was on topic up to post 43. Then @ben_lubar started spinning and it all went
down hilloff topic from there.
-
It was, frankly, inevitable.

Yeah I did. :-) :-(

Don't worry, it won't be long until this
topicthread isn't even about football any more.

football
Wait? What? I thought we were already well past the Godwin's law thresshold and only reference to WWII where allowed.

I take your Chuck Norris and override it with a Jean-Claude Vandamme. Since he is after all from BELGIUM there is nothing stopping him.

*must resist*... no, I'm not oneboxing a youtube vid with his epic split.
-
I take your Norris and your Van Damme and assault both with the power of the Broforce.

Then again: who needs Van Damme or Norris when he can have Neuer?

Bruce Schneier sees that and laughs. He is so awesome that he can have a sense of humour.

Help me Paula!
Looks like @Nagesh is calling in consultants for his bean. Now that's what I call a professional business attitude. I'm sure he'll go far!

Wow this email interface is retarded. It is posting after 1 hour of sending
email. Paula need to show the brillant.

You are planning to contact the server via email from your bean? This is, erm, innovative...

It is posting after 1 hour of sending
email. That is bad. It would be more amusing, with no loss of meaning or relevance, if it did something like* this, instead:
if (message.from().equals("Nagesh") { currentThread.sleep(Math.random() * 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24 * 7); message.process(); }
Arguably, infinite delay would be even better, but amusement might suffer slightly.
* Ignoring things like exception handling and defining constants instead of using magic numbers.

I'd watch more soccer if there were more hits like the Neuer collision.

@Matches is about to develop this new cloud storage service, filenotfound.com (I'm on mobile right now, excuse me for not linking to the topic). I think that would be the perfect place to store @Nagesh's posts for posterity.

hits like the Neuer collision.
That one was good but a lot less devastating than the one early in the game where the Argentinian cold-cocked a German in the chin with his shoulder. That one left the German out cold for a bit. Then he had to be assisted in walking to the locker room by 2 large men.

That was Kramer; Kramer played for Khedira who had suffered some injury during warmups. My first thought was: "Yup, that makes sense - Kedhira is obviously not fit to play or Kramer wouldn't have appeared; taking Kramer out will leave a gaping hole." In other words: I suspected machiavellian shenanigans. But in the end it appeared to be just the usual result of an unhappy coincidence. Contacts sports...

I'd watch more soccer if there were more tits
Well, I just discovered a Google image search WTF. I did a search for "great tits" in order to make a bird related joke. Weirdly, about half of the images were birds and the other half were NSFW.
I turned safe search on to remove the NSFW results, and this is what happened:
So instead of removing explicit results, it excludes potentially unsafe words from the search term...

Looking for “titmouse” would have helped.

I couldn't agree more!
Aren't there enough already? The game normally starts of with 22 or so of them on the field.

Damn it moobs don't count!
