Not my project. But you can bet someone will try it.

Pedantry
I've dropped the requirements for a bronze down to 3 flags instead of 5 for the moment, and restricted the time a post can gain a badge to a week after first posting it to ease admin a hell of a lot...
-
Since I don't think we had this... I'm gonna try, though it's more bookkeeping and I fully expect it to get shot down.
Bronze name: Shadow Bronze requirements: Quote one post before it gets ninja edited. Silver name: Ghost Silver requirements: Quote five posts before they get ninja edited. Gold name: Hanzo Gold requirements: Quote ten posts before they get ninja edited. Icon name: fa-drupal Multiple awards: No
Edit: reversed from original as per @darkmatter's suggestion. Only Hanzo can ninja a ninja!
-
hough it's more bookkeeping
I don't even have the tools to even begin to track this.
Thus admin is zero. Finding posters who would qualify is a whole different matter...
As I believe I (sorta) said earlier, "when you get admin, feel free. As long as you're doing the admin for them... "

I was thinking flags. But yeah, I know, more work. Just leaving it here so I don't forget in any case.
-
Shouldnt' those be the other way around?
Badges should be awarded for quoting people BEFORE they ninja it.
But it would still be impossible to track unless the ninja editor reported the superquoter to @PJH for badger badger badger
-
Only a ninja can beat a ninja... Yeah, I like it, but I think it's too late for me to ninja the post...

Snaaaaaake.

Nope, managed it. My long name seems appropriate now. I am content.

C-c-c-c-c-c-c-combo maker.

Pirates vs ninjas... aren't you like a decade late for that?
-
-
Well, above we had a thing about only ninjas can beat ninjas but as any fule kno so can pirates, therefore pirates vs ninjas therefore old meme.
-
so can pirates
NO REPRO, Ninjas have real ultimate power and cannot be beaten by pirates.
-
That's Captain Jack Sparrow to you.

Hey, pssst, 4chan is in yonder tab
-
Are you drunk or what? You think I'm going to 4chan? I'm not nearly mentally stable enough to cope with 4chan.
-
I buttumed so because it seemed like your spellchecker got switched to "Broked (UK)"
-
My spellchecker was set to Proper Fucking English many years ago.
-
You reminded me now to switch my system to "British English".
And $DEITY damn it, they removed the "Trash" translation. Used to be "Rubbish bin"!
No fun :(

I thought you had to be mentally unstable to cope with 4chan.
-
In which case I'm not mentally unstable enough either.

How about some "edited posts N times total" badges?
(Finally, something I could be competitive in!)

All the more reason not to do it? ;)
Given what I have to work with, I'd rather sort the automated pendantry badgers before I do stuff with other edit-related badgers which will be a cake-walk...
-
What are these and if it's something nice, can we have them, too?

This Discourse developer successfully called something "garbage!"
Barrels and fish spring to mind...
On a more serious note, I suspect it has something to do with github and/or the contents of checkins.
