YIMBY
Tip to the people running that website: EXPLAIN WHAT YIMBY ACTUALLY MEANS
NIMBY = Not In My Back Yard
I assume YIMBY = Yes In My Back Yard, the opposite of NIMBY
YIMBY = Yes In My Butt Yay
Sounds like a job for @Perverted_Vixen !
indeed.
now..... bend over.....
Yes, that's right.....

Hmm...this is interesting re: SF housing:
Unfortunately:
Lawmakers are considering a measure that would allow parts of Marin County to limit growth more tightly than other regions of California. The provision, inserted last week into a bill connected to the state budget, lets Marin County’s largest cities and unincorporated areas maintain extra restrictions on how many homes developers can build. …
However this, in particular, this amused me:
Lucas spent decades trying to get permits to build a movie studio in Marin County. When he failed, he threatened to build low income housing on his property as vengeance.
And for reference:
Today, the county’s per capita income of $60,236 is the highest of any county in the state, according to U.S. census figures. But the average renter in Marin County makes just $19.21 an hour and would need to work 77 hours a week to afford a studio apartment at the $1,915-a-month market rate, according to data from the National Low Income Housing Coalition. …

More reasons why the SF area housing situation won't improve:

4 fires, 4 arsons
I mean, it's better than 4 fires, 40 arsons, right?

This is also interesting considering the YIMBY movement there.
The site:
We should build more housing in every neighborhood — especially high-income neighborhoods.
The people most hurt by a housing shortage are those with the least means.
Part of the issue is that high income people are driving out lower income people. High income people like to live in nice areas. They want to build lots of housing there instead of building up low income areas (gentrification!) and making them nice and unaffordable to lower income people.
Basically, the shortage of housing in and around SF keeps pushing people out farther and farther.
It is no longer high vs low income. You cannot buy a decent place with a few millions anymore. In SF only 2 class of people can live:
- Recently rich geeky assholes wearing glasses that sold their unicorn for more than 3M, it better be a capital B if you want to be in the club
- Hobos, and hippies on drugs
Everyone else is either commuting and works for group 1, or a tourist visiting a nude festival by 2

Huh, I don't remember that, new search terms learned!

Don't forget, it takes a minimum of <rolls dice> 5 of those middle-income residents living together to earn enough for a studio apartment in SF.
