I look forward to the royalties for using our material.
It's going to be a bunch of jokes about @ben_lubar. Unbeknownst to us, Ben is semi-famous in India!

Ok. I will record my voice, but not my video, next time I get invited to one such party.
I look forward to hearing your comedic stylings!
I played guitar for quite a few years, but got frustrated with it and took up the piano instead. I'm currently working towards grade 4 on the piano and I also play bass guitar in a band. The bass is just a bit of fun, I started it recently as a favour for a mate.
I do a fair bit of Go-Karting, but only semi serious stuff. I don't own a kart and haven't got time to go around the country to events, I just do local stuff.
I play in a local pool league, I'm not bad but we've got some players who used to play for England. They're pretty fucking good, they'd make anyone else feel like they suck in comparison.
I also do archery, which is pretty fitting as I live in Robin Hood's backyard. That's my newest hobby, it's a lot of fun.
I was filling out my university applications and didn't have any idea what I wanted to do. I had 3 entry slots on my application paper. I had filled out applications for 2 separate business management courses on the merit that they sounded like they could lead to decent career prospects.
I didn't know what to do with my 3rd and final application. I was walking along and accidentally dropped my university prospectus and it landed open on the department of computing and mathematics. I read it and thought, "wow, software engineering sounds pretty cool". I applied for it, got on the course, and I've loved programming ever since.
I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I wasn't such a clumsy idiot who drops things all the time.
Laughing at inappropriate times...
To clarify, it fails if you specify the protocol. I haven't tested it without the protocol.
My bad, it wasn't in my top example with the fake URL, but it was in my bottom real world example.
Bug: I made a post that contained an image from an external site. Discourse downloaded a local copy and edited my post to point at that copy, but in the process managed to mangle the img tag.
It changed this
<img src="http://exampledomain.com/imagename.jpg" />
to this
<img src="<img src='/uploads/default/2045/e2d65c2e8c6b59be.jpg'>">
Repro: Make a post that includes an image tag that points to an image on an external site.
Live example: Here's an example image, hopefully system will come along and edit this so this post can be your repro.
If you can't see the image below, then it means that system has been along an mangled the img tag. Take a look at the source and edit history of this post to see what I mean.
P.S. I think this is a cool feature. It used to work, but seems to have gotten borked at some point.
Edit: System has been along and mangled the tag. The old version of the tag looked like this
<img src="http://static2.fjcdn.com/comments/A+Repost+It+can+t+be+true+_e63731036759224c3c80d8f133a814c9.jpg" />
and the new mangled version is this
<img src="<img src='/uploads/default/2045/e2d65c2e8c6b59be.jpg'>" />
My favorite was realizing that I was dreaming. Suddenly I was a god. I was flying around
I've had this once, but shortly after I forgot I was dreaming and lost my powers.
I'm all for saving energy, but you've got to communicate your message in the right sort of way. This isn't it.
Instead of dreaming cool things...
I had a dream the other night that I was a Godzilla sized monster on a rampage in a futuristic city.
For some reason I was attacking a flying car driven by a robot driver. I was having real difficulty trying to bat the car down, but then some weird HUD appeared out of nowhere and highlighted the thrusters on the bottom of the car as a weak spot.
I promptly beat the car to the ground and pummeled the roof in with my fists and crushed the robot driver. I then woke up.
I don't usually remember my dreams, but when I do they're never usually that weird.
//Make sure shit that we got from server is valid
public IsValid( ) {
if(sizeof( ) > && sizeof ( ) < ) {

}
else {

}
}
That's surprisingly readable! Good show sir!
I only glanced at this post and your avatar and thought it was from Nagesh. I must have looked at it 2 or 3 times without realising it was you.
Maybe 100? I'd only go over 50 again if I was off work in the week. The forum isn't as active over the weekend so there's less for me to like. I suppose going over the limit is an edge case in general usage.
I feel kinda bad now for asking for the limit to be upped
And now for some toilet humour.
I give you, the X-Factor audition toilet...
Filed under: OK that should have said even more toilet humour...
BUG: When I expand some comments, the box expands and then immediately shrinks to just the user's name.
REPRO: Expand PJH's comment quoted in this post http://what.thedailywtf.com/t/some-proposed-discourse-improvements-for-tdwtf/365/19?u=doctorjones

Starbucks writing the customer's name on their cup. This valiant effort was supposed to be "Clint".
If it smells like fish there's a hygenic problem or an infection.
Or you're "accidentally" browsing a food fetish site
Scratch-n-sniff.
That would be horrendous for porn, or good, whatever floats your boat I guess
As I said earlier, it's subjective. If you feel like a lurker, let us know a bit about yourself.
I'm pretty sure that most people seem like lurkers when compared to the usual suspects.
I would normally smash Backspace on my keyboard.
That sounds violent. Do you have much pent up rage?
It's subjective, so I'd say embrace your lurker-ey-ness.
Oooo, it's interesting learning a bit about the history of the forum. I've heard a bit about SpectateSwamp but not heard of MasterPlanSoftware before.
It might be cool to see a wiki thread dedicated to the history of the site and forum.
I'll have you know that my username is camelCase, thank you very much.
Edited to match
Sorry man, I didn't mean to miss you off the list, I wasn't aiming for something exhaustive. Maybe there should be a matching TDWTF All-Stars thread too ;-)
I'm Doctor Jones, I've been a member lurking since 2010. I'm from Nottingham in the UK (Robin Hood country), I'm a Software dev, primarily working with C#, ASP MVC and Webforms.
I am amused by the number of TDWTF forum lurkers/infrequent posters who have come after Discourse with guns blazing. If nothing else, it's bringing us together as a community.
A few people have mentioned the increase in lurker activity since the move to Discourse. I've certainly been posting more. So this thread is calling all lurkers.
We're all familiar with the usual suspects on this site like Blakey, Morbs, El Heffe, Boomzilla, PJH, mikeTheLiar, dhromed, bstorer Pesto moderator, and others.
Now let's get a bit more familiar with the lurkers.
I still favour making our own fork called "Intercourse".
A fork of Discourse,
Intercourse of course
Playing hip hop through your police car's PA system in the middle of a busy town
I've liked more posts in Discourse these few days than I have ever favourited posts in Community Server.
I didn't know CS could do that, it's a big fucking obvious button, but somehow I missed it
I wasn't criticising how active you are Morbs, you're one of the primary sources of entertainment around here, so I'm glad you're so active. I was just surprised that you can post so much but I can't like as many posts as I wasn't to.
