This is a Bond specific WTF so I’ll list it here rather than in WTF Bites.
In November, I bought the collection on iTunes (yes I am
) for £70, but NTTD was not included. Fair enough I thought.Today I find that “The James Bond Collection” now includes NTTD but is now £90… while purchasing NTTD on its own is £14, thus penalising anyone who now buys the collection.

Are you talking about the title song or the whole soundtrack?
I remember a few things from GoldenEye, Brosnan, the plane scene, the game, and the title song by Tina Turner. That was probably the best of them all.
Compare that to No Time To Die, which I watched in the cinema a few months ago and don't even remember what the title song is.

- Spectre is the best Craig, and one of the few that are watchable, because it follows the recipe.

Anyway, I liked Casino Royale a lot, but Quantum of Solace was absolute shit. After 5 minutes I had no idea what the fuck was going on anymore, and it felt like Michael Bay with fewer explosions. Okay, that's a contradiction, but it was still terrible. Cuts every 2 seconds.Also, Waltz was pretty great as Blofeld, but that's because Waltz is great in everything. Even Polanski's Carnage.

Same for me. I hate it for that. It starts with the car chase (I think?) and from the get-go it's impossible to follow what is happening. It's just pure random flashing images.
(warning: minor plot spoiler ahead, but the plot is so thin that it's not like it matters)
Also the villain is just laughable. You've got villains who want to take over the world, villains who want to become richer than anyone has ever been, villains who want to destroy the world and remake it in their image... and then comes a villain who wants to take control of a piece of literal desert in a third-world country to mine its resources. Wooo, such a menacing menace... not.
I know the film has a larger place in the whole Craig arc, but it's still a shit movie by itself.

Oh yeah, that too. While the intro left me confused what the hell was going on simply by its crappy "action" sequences, the plot had me wondering um, okay, so what? Didn't they want to steal... water?! I mostly forgot about the plot, so I may be unfair to it, but also there's a reason I mostly forgot about it.

There's something about oil as well, IIRC, but I can't remember the details. Something like he takes control of the water supply to, uh, be able to remove the population from areas where there's oil underneath? Or maybe just so that he takes actually control of the whole country (because he controls all the water and people need it) and thus indirectly its oil reserves (that country is in South America so it's maybe Venezuela? but then it's even dumber as I don't think Venezuela has any significant desert, and if it has it's in no way going to be the only water source of the country... also the whole idea that the only water source of a country is a desert...
).Anyway, yes, it's dumb. I mean, dumber than most villains plans, which are usually already pretty dumb.

They're not stealing the water, they're making sketchy real estate details to buy up most of the aquifers in the country so that they effectively corner the market on water in the country and can dictate utility prices.
With a thinly veiled reference to Global Warming as going to make water the most valuable resource on Earth VerySoon(tm) -- they don't come right out and say it, but there aren't that many lines to peek between for the setup on that.

By sheer coincidence I watched the "original" Casino Royale yesterday evening.
The first half (or so... no idea about the actual timing, plus it was a gradual thing anyway) is absolute comedy gold and caused that movie to jump at or very close to the top of my favourite James Bond films' list.
The second part and ending caused it to go down a bit, because, well, it does down quite a bit. Still funny, but a bit too disjointed and over the top.
Interesting. I (and my marathon co-participants) found the first half of 1967 Casino Royale to be slow but the second half to be a lot better. The last five minutes or so are ludicrous, but it's a Brooksian comedy movie, so there's that. Not only did it have a bunch of big actors, but they also got a few Bond actors to join in, notably Honey Ryder as Vesper Lynd, and Kronsteen as the Auctioneer.
Overall, much better than a lot of James Bond movies that are at best mediocre, if not outright bad.
So, aside from QoS, which seems to be finding few defenders here, which ones are the outright bad ones?

@Groaner I haven't seen near enough of them (let alone recently enough) but I can't make it through Live and Let Die or Dr No (although I'm fairly sure this movie is where a full half of the super spy tropes out there come from).
