It's Broken!
-
Hey Alex...
On every "reply" button, on mouseover it breaks. It fixes when you mouse out, but it's not showing an image on mouseover like it did.
Several of the images to specify no/some new posts are broken, too; for the forums and for individual posts. Just thought you might want to know.
-
and no... i'm not using firefox. Forgot to mention that. Good ol' IE6.05
-
I've got nooo idea. Works for me, and we're on the same platform.[:S]

Apparently, the javascript mouseover isn't finding that image :( i tried just navigating to that image, but that didn't work either (404 error). I ono. Weird. Ok! If you ever figure anything out about it, I'd love to know!
-
<font style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #efefef">Well, that was easy to fix. Just copied the reply gif from the default folder.
You must have changed your theme from default to Mistblue? I think Mistblue is the default ...</font>
-
<font style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000">Not to be a pain in the ass, but it's doing the same thing on mine, only when I'm logged in though. My color scheme is MidnightGreen.</font>

The forum is still broken ...
-
Ah, thank you for finding this again! I remember looking for it. I believe it was the longest possible necro at the time. I suppose we could wait a while and other ancient threads would provide new record breaking opportunities.
-
new record breaking opportunities.
I just pop 'em when Discourse presents them and they are at least remotely funny.

Why does diskourze say "10 years later", when there's only about 3 1/2 months between Dec 4th and March 21st?
Srsly DC, drama much?

Trans-decade!

I don't have IE6 to test, sry.

Where do you see the day of the month? That
'04
is 2004 - that's why the thread starts in November and transitions into December.
-
And that's totally obvious at a quick glance?
-
says it is!
You're just

so this kind of thing makes more sense on hover at least

A lot of stuff got mangled by @ben_lubar's import script going "escaping? Fuck that, replace everything with \1!".
-
Regular expressions are hard.

VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE:

#So, I clicked to the "Top ^" of the topic, and saw "blakeyrat ........ May '14" as the heading, and thought "well, it's only been 5 months, how much does Lorne reaaaally expect in ----"
#Aaaaand then I realized "May '14" was not referring to "May 14th", but "May 2014". I don't ... even.... errr... like ... um .... I .... WHAT THE FUCK!?
-
NO_REPRO.
-
Tdwtf css? That isn't what I'm seeing,and I'm 95% sure I'm on default...
-
Local CSS. I don't think any of the site CSS templates included it, even when we could still switch between them.

#UR DOING IT WRONG STOP DOING IT WRONG!!!! DATES ARE NOT FOR REGULAR USERS STOP DOING IT WRONG!!!!!!!

WAIT A MINUTE MY T.V. SET DOESN'T WORK

...and now you have /^[0-9]+ problems$/.
I have 0 problems? Sweet, time to fuck off early.

Striked-through space is weird.

What may 14?

So I think overall, I demonstrated the whole regex problems thing quite eloquently...

@Tsaukpaetra I visited this site in IE7 just to see what happens. Boy, is that some strange shit. This site isn't correctly viewable until IE9 and isn't actually usable until IE10.

I tried it with a really limited browser once. Worked as well as you'd expect.

Somewhat like this?
That is to say:
$ lynx http://what.thedailywtf.com/topic/11/it-s-broken/35 Looking up what.thedailywtf.com Making HTTP connection to what.thedailywtf.com Sending HTTP request. HTTP request sent; waiting for response. @Gurth the encrypted stream as hex is fine, as long as it's
printed out andphotographed on a wooden table. That's the important part.

You have to set a file in the make config flag dependencies.

I think I found the reason:
$ lynx --version Lynx Version 2.8.7rel.2 (21 Jun 2010) libwww-FM 2.14, ncurses 5.7.20081102 Built on darwin14.0.0 Apr 9 2015 10:53:25
No idea why I needed Lynx three years ago, or why I installed an old version, but checking its web site, I notice they’ve gone from 2.8.7 to 2.8.9 in only nine years so I didn’t really have an out-of-date version at the time after all.

@Gurth I wonder how hard it would be to take webkit and add a "text only backend" so you can have full HTML5 support in a Lunix terminal.
filed under: probably quite hard

Most of the work can be done in a week, the rest can be done in a year.

That's the 90%/10% rule, right?

We'll have Electron-based shells any day now. Dunno if the integrated one in VS Code counts.
