ll I can think of is @Luhmann.
I know I'm irresistible but this is crossing a line!
You could at least take me out dinning first!

dinning
You like to make noise? No thanks.
You could at least take me out din
Last meal before I shoot you? What do I get out of that, your mooks won't try to shoot me? I might be ok with that; I decided to blow up the building at the end of that, so they all die anyway.ning first!

...you've found errors in your own forum*, which uses a totally different forum software.

you can type in Discomarkdown perfectly even without the preview.

Yon know you've been spending too much time on WTDWTF as well as Terraria when:
Note:
- built manually over the course of several days, rather than 5 minutes using a map editor.
- built using lava, not the easiest and safest material around.
- said lava was transported one bucket at a time, rather than using a pump or more than one bucket.
- built on the Underworld layer, where:
- it's dark. It was dark while building, it's dark while looking at the end result;
- I was constantly attacked by the toughest (pre-Hardmode) mobs, some of which could not be blocked with walls.
- built on the far right of the map where, once no more scrolling was available, I struggled to not trigger the right virtual stick instead of positioning blocks.
In conclusion: I'm an idiot.
-
-
that is.... AWESOME

Ok that's fine, but...
built using lava, not the easiest and safest material around.
You do realize pumps work with lava, right?

The line below the one you quoted answers this question.

On mobile? That's dedication right there..

You have no new unread posts the entire day, yet your alt claims there are several hundred unread posts you've missed out on.

Wait, the appearance of the 'n days later' bar is on a higher time threshold than our necro warning? I know we have the necro set ridiculously low but still...

YKYBetc...
You tell stories about @blakeyrat's commute to your family and your family creates this:
(Unfortunately DiscoSearch - so cannot link to original post about hipster girl balancing checkbook)
-
Now I'm creeped out.
-
By what?
The eyes are little intense, but it's blown up a bit from the original, which makes that more obvious.
-
Well if you end up telling a TV producer my stupid little stories, just make sure I get some of the cash money $$$.
-
Absolutely - I'll cut you in for, what?, 50% of my cut?
-
No, give me all the moneys. I ain't made jack from this forum. In fact it costs me money. (You wouldn't believe how much bandwidth the old forum archives use due to their excellent Google indexing.)
-
Geesh. Fine - but I get half the trinkets... keychains, posters, whatnot.
Also... half the tickets to premiers and awards shows... doesn't have to be the good tickets either, just so I get inside the door.
Deal?
-
I don't see no checks yet.
-
I'm not putting together a treatment until we've got a deal.
blakeyrat: ALLOFTHEBENJAMINS!! - the other half of the trinkets.
IJIJ: half the shiny trinkets

(You wouldn't believe how much bandwidth the old forum archives use due to their excellent Google indexing.)
Have you tried hacking Whatever.aspx.vb?
Change:
var tagcloud = <%= TheEntireFuckingDatabaseToJSArray() %>;
To:
var tagcloud = "Oh yeah the forum is in read only mode!";
Might save a few thousand gigs of bandwidth per day.

See kellogs! There shouldn't be any nice in your cereals.

YKYBSTMTOWTDWTF when you're more interested in the Mafia game's night resolution than the election results at your country.

It'll have a bigger effect on your life…
Well, I'm also a bit curious how much discrepancy there will be between the exit polls and the results because people can't connect the three brain cells it takes to make their vote valid.
Now that's going to have an effect on my life - or at least the "faith in humanity" part of it.
-
... you realise that you've found people elsewhere on the Internet that are on this site.
There's at least one other person on this site that I know from real life and that I knew before either of us read this site. We know who we both are too.

When your internet worlds start colliding: you read a reference on puzzling.stackexchange that links to TDWTF. Puzzling, of all places!

I'm still waiting for my "Oh fuck, you're @Maciejasjmj? I've read all your TDWTF stories, they're amazing! Will you sign my cleavage, please?" moment.
But it's bound to happen sooner or later.
-
I'm kind of waiting for "Oh fuck, you're Jane? You're fired."
(Just kidding, some of my coworkers know already)

Reference to what? Now you have me curious.

http://puzzling.stackexchange.com/a/23441/431 links to http://thedailywtf.com/articles/Nerds,-Jocks,-and-Lockers
Both are talking about a puzzle involving locker doors.
-
Oh a FRONT PAGE article.
I thought you were talking about the bit of DailyWTF that actually matters.

A BYOC with pretty much the same (well, very similar) problem? That's... a bit disappointing, actually.
-
Meh, it's a really old puzzle, and was even when Martin Gardener included it in one of his books some time in the... 1970s? Anyway, the solution is equivalent to
the Sieve of Eratosthenes
(not that I would have managed to work that out myself).
-
Oh you're fine. It's all in the lounge :P

People don't just link to the first citation for things, they also link to good explanations. And the front page articles too…

TDWTF - come for the articles, stay for the dickweedery. Pedantic or otherwise.

..... you're-a-gonna be waiting a while.
