Coding harbuttment
-
I've mentioned this bullshit project I'm working on a few times before. The normal way I would do this has, unfortunately, been closed off to me, and I've hit upon some ridiculous Rube Goldberg solution that I am having trouble implementing, because it's full of stuff I haven't worked with before, so I'm looking for some suggestions, if I'm Doing It Wrong, how to do it more right, and/or making my current code work if my current idea isn't utterly unreasonable.
Here's what I gotta do: Webserver #2 gets XML posted at it. This isn't a form: I'm getting a POST with a Content-Type of text/xml or maybe application/xml or something, and the request body is straight XML. I need to take that and get it back to webserver #1. My idea was to write a Java servlet on WS#2, read in the XML, open a URLConnection to WS#1, and essentially replicate input to output (that is, POST request with an XML body). I am also writing the program on WS#1 that will ultimately receive this XML, and I have a lot more flexibility there, and am not worried about that piece.
Does what I've described so far sound unduly horrible, horrible but workable, or not too bad?

This is a question more suited for a question and answer site, such as Stack Overflow.
It does not have the elements necessary to start a flame-war.

Har har. Normally I wouldn't mind but can we keep this category serious? This has been causing me entirely too much trouble for too long.

Can you copy the entire post and move it over changing the header?
disclaimer, I have little knowledge in this field, but I'm a good IDEA

Does this mean I can be delinquent?
I believe it's possible to be delinquent at any1 age. If you're asking my permission, I think you're unclear on the concept of delinquency.
1 For a definition of "any" that excludes "too young to understand the difference between right and wrong."
-
I believe it's possible to be delinquent at any age.
The normal noun form of delinquent seems to only apply to those where "juvenile" applies, though yes pedantically I guess I qualify anyway. Was just happy to qualify under the normal usage again.
-
What a ヤンキー.
-
Ah, to be a delinquent (noun), vs. to be delinquent (adjective). Yes, the former seems to occur mostly in the phrase "juvenile delinquent." However, I should point out that, if you are a delinquent, my opinion of your juvenility will not help you avoid any possible adult legal consequences of your delinquency.
-
Yeah, adjusted the original again to make that clear. If I claim that your opinion of my juvenility made me think that I could avoid legal consequences I may be able to avoid them for another reason altogether. Hrrrrm.

ヤンキー
Google does not do a good job of translating Japanese to English:
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ヤンキー_(不良少年)Yankee (bad boy)
"In this item Yankee "is, Japan in Japan, refers to the slang that points to the boys and girls with the intention of "by the strength likely looking menacing around, should reckoned from fellow". In addition, specific to those of boys and girls fashion in some cases to include the lifestyle in general, such as trends and consumption trends.
Because of widespread word by word of mouth, and etymology ambiguous regardless definition often used remains, " juvenile delinquents "," bad "," thugs are used in a wide range of meaning as intended to refer to such as "" bad population " to have.

But well enough to be understood none the less.
-
I will always remember the beginning of Shieldbro, where the main character talks about what a yankii his brother is, because the translators are idiots.

Shieldbro
And that didn't tip you off? Does he hang around with Speardude and Armorgal?
-
And that didn't tip you off? Does he hang around with Speardude and Armorgal?
No Tank Girl?
-
Trying and failing to see how something with her would need to be translated to English.
-
Are Speardude and Armorgal real things?
-
Not that I know of, just Tank Girl doesn't seem like a character that you would borrow across language lines (not famous enough to be recognized outside her setting and if setting why not do it in English first).
-
I'm going to stick with it. We're talking Japanese stuff here. It shouldn't make sense.

Hello guys, I'm back from my 600 seconds timeout. During that time I was able to finish my 200 words essay on the topic of Nazi Germany. My thesis is that Hitler & Nazi beliefs are carried on by twitch tv Nazi moderators who like to act as if they themselves were literally Hitler. I think I should score at least 90 out of 100 points for that paper.
nb: not actually 200 words

It's apparently about superheroes, except that the main character's power is just a shield. Apparently it's very popular these days.
And besides, Japan has a series devoted to school girls whose main school sport is battling in tanks. It even made a reference to Battlezone, which I approved of. And then there's the one made out of a card game about anthropomorphic historical battleships fighting alien anthropomorphic battleships.
-
MoD?
Ministry of Dischorse, of course.

That's the one.

Thought so.
What the hell is going on with the Anglerfish dance?! I haven't watched the anime.

-
It was either a punishment or a dare.

It's a punishment
Makes sense, as much as anything else from Japan does. Why were all the teams doing it?
...no, never mind.
-
What happened is that one of the characters had to do the dance, so the rest of the team decided to join in so it'd be less embarrassing. Very large team.
Besides, everyone in that show lives in a suburb (with grass) on a giant aircraft carrier. That makes it objectively awesome.
-

So Captain America?
-
His superpower is steroids.
-
Yeah but shield.
-
He probably like... causes it to manifest using raw mind-power. It's Japanese, after all. I almost care enough to read it.
