Trainwrecks. Watch them? Prevent them?

If you're going to assume it's all down to the birth rate by head of population, then it's hardly surprising a primitive society of godbotherers is "better" than an enlightened society with, y'know, some actual history of thinking.
I assume there's probably a sweet spot. Doing it at less than replacement rates seems like a BAD IDEA, and if you're doing that and think you're in an enlightened society, you probably aren't.
-
I assume there's probably a sweet spot
… and that's why you only seem to be better at it.

In mother Russia, birth rate screws you.

Why would I listen to any of those in a world where Bach, Mozart and Beethoven (or at least their music) exist?
Oh, try 2CELLOSlive... They're a bunch of fun...

Oh, those guys. Still alive and kicking I see. Good for them.
Fucking local media completely forgot about them like a month after the "Smooth Criminal" cover they did became a thing. Well, people in general too, I think.
Sigh. Seems like you can't get any kind of recognition around here. Hell, people still need to pause and think about who that is when I mention Nikola fucking Tesla at times.
-
Nikola fucking Tesla
He did that cover of "Blinded by the Light", right?

Indeed, it's good to see you back, Morbs.

He made it to #6 with "Don't Pour Your Love Out On Me, Baby" in the 70s.
DAMN YOU MOOOOOORBS! Stealing my jokes again! ... before I make them!

Thanks. I was not previously aware of them. I'm not sure which one is which, but I wish the "I Will Wait" video showed more of the one playing rhythm; that's pretty amazing.
The carbon-fiber cellos are cool. I know someone who has one (although the picture shows her with her traditional one); she loves it.

Re: 2CELLOS
Loved Thunderstruck. Mombasa was pretty cool too.

I noticed them but I had no idea what they meant, nor was the meaning discoverable, until I asked somewhere "what the heck are these heatmaps?"
- (huh.) to "what Atwood thinks are heatmaps."

I want a law that gives everyone a free cookie each day~

Would it be considered an evil idea to ask who would be providing the cookies or bacon?

Maybe. On the other hand, it's a good idea if the bacon is coming from this place:
-
Now I want some bacon gravy.
-
FTFY and @accalia
no, no you didn't i said bacon cookie and i meant bacon cookie.
those things are [afterlife: perfect end] on [Third Planet of Star Sol]!
-
Why would you want one combined object when you could have them both?!
EDIT: Before the pedantry and dickweedery starts - I'm just stating this as the preference in this scenario.
-
because bacon cookies.
that's why.
-
I would like to present a third option:
Bacon AND bacon cookies.
-
Would it be considered an evil idea to ask who would be providing the cookies or bacon?
Why is that important? I mean, there's a law...
Filed under: That just makes it happen, right?

I once fried Oreos in bacon grease. It was glorious.

I hate to be the rain on the parade, but bacon doesn't make everything better. If you disagree, I have some bacon ebola and bacon shit over here you're welcome to.

The blue is scaled based on last activity / age of thread.
So, if the thread is 5h old and the last activity is 4h, that's 4/5, or really blue.
If the thread is 5 years old and the last activity is 4h, that's 4/(really big number), or gray.
The fact that you had to ask, and the fact that I only knew because I read the post, tells me that the OP is wrong. It's not intuitive at all.
-

Making something better doesn't mean the same thing as making it good. I would expect bacon ebola and bacon shit to taste better than the non-bacon varieties, but I wouldn't expect them to taste good. Unless the ratio of bacon-to-nonbacon is sufficiently high that you can only taste the bacon.

I forgot that this was the heat maps thread.
-
Whaaat?
It should have been obvious from the title.

While I agree, sometimes it's a distinction without a difference. "Here, this sandwich only has a little shit in it. Enjoy!"

t should have been obvious from the title.
Heat maps apparently are trainwrecks, so I can see the confusion.

Yeah, but BACON.
-
-
LOL. How was your "only a little bit of shit" sandwich?
Better than your "a lot of shit sandwich" I'm sure. C'mon, people eat oyster shit all the time.
-
Better than your "a lot of shit sandwich" I'm sure.
Not bloody likely--I'm smart enough not to eat a shit sandwich.

Holy necromancy, Batman!

But what if, it necro-ed, many times?
Is the necro the sum of all re-necros, or is it just the largest necro in the thread?
