The necropost banner is supposed to say "Goddammit fbmac" when the time is more than 10 years (IIRC), but doesn't do that when triggering the "first post in a topic has an embed from a long time ago"
bugfeature, thus ruining my joke here. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.
Also,
-
There's no previous post to calculate the time difference for.

@loopback0 is having two separate code paths calculate the same thing for the same purpose but different, and one of them only happens when it shouldn't do anything at all
-
@hungrier PRs for this will be a PITA but probably accepted. I think the onebox date thing is in the patch that gets applied in our dockerfile.

It seems deliberate at least.
I'd not spotted the first path as I just went to the "damnit fbmac" and worked backwards.

@hungrier The 10 years is 2 or 3 days short. Currently 3.

I've updated the PR for increased accuracy

I've seen it but I haven't had time to test it.
-
Using techniques found , I've updated my PR with what should be a better localization technique. As a bonus, I also (somewhat) tested the new version using dev tools.

It's where you inject yourself with a poison to see if the antidote you may-or-may-not-have made works properly.

@topspin Very interesting article and personally relevant to me, but unfortunately "he expects adults to profit only little from his results. Contact with these microbes seems to be crucial in the first few years of life during the development of the immune system."
-
@HardwareGeek it’s a tricky situation, it seems. With the bacterium you may get ulcers and cancer, without it you may develop autoimmune diseases.

So, necroposting the bacteria wouldn't work then
-
@hungrier We should wait a couple of years and have @obeselymorbid try necroliking it — see if that helps.

Indeed. I don't know whether I'm in the fraction of the population that has it or doesn't have it, but that seems to point toward not.
