Use this thread to suggest features for @error_bot. No idea is too for consideration.

Maybe an integrated Frotz interpreter. Right now, the Infocom games work by spinning up a docker instance running frotz, and a node host instance running a terminal emulator and a WebSocket proxy for std{in,out,err}. If this could be done in-process it would be much easier to work with.

dot/graphviz or that-markup-whose-name-eludes-me-right-now-I-think-it-starts-with-an-M interpreter.
Edit: bonus if it edits the original post in place.

@error_bot xkcd 1838
Should produce a nice embedded comic with hover text and a link to original page.

Will it reply, "No, you make me a sandwich!!"?

@jinpa No, it should respond
What? Make it yourself.

@jinpa I'd make her a salad, just to see her reaction.
-
@Gąska That should actually be fairly trivial.
The question is, do we really want a Rosie O'Donnell bot?

The pile gets soaked with data and starts to get mushy over time, so it's technically recurrent.

Quickest would be have a lookup table. But would need updating a few times a week.

@PJH By design: I can't hover on mobile, so I like seeing it inline.

Has this disappeared from the mobile CSS?
/* Show abbr etc on desktop as for mobile, don't show [] when no/empty title. */ .content abbr[title]:after, .content a[title]:after { content: " [" attr(title) "]"; } .timeago:after { content: " [" attr(title) "]"; font-size: 11.9px; }

@PJH Ah, no. TBH, I didn't actually try it on mobile, I just knew that it's a problem I have when I actually visit xkcd.com.

You just need to lose 3 pixels or so to get the mobile view.

@error i think you should add a newline between the xkcd comic and the rollover alt text thingy, because as it is, the text it starts right to the left of the comic. On mobile at least.

That's an artifact of the CSS. Specifically - where did you want the newline? The text you're describing appears in the
title
attribute in the following:<details> <summary> xkcd said in https://xkcd.com/1115/ </summary> <p> <a href="https://xkcd.com/1115/" title="I dropped a bird and I didn't hear it hit bottom."><img src="https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/sky_2x.png"/></a></p></details>
I suppose it could be broken into two anchors...
<a href="https://xkcd.com/1115/"><img src="https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/sky_2x.png"/></a> <a href="https://xkcd.com/1115/" title="I dropped a bird and I didn't hear it hit bottom."></a>
