RE: Closed Poll: Do you have Discourse Syndrome
I think of discourse more as a mentally disabled child than a form software. Nursing such a life form isn't exactly my dream job. So yeah, I still dislike it.
By the way, this is my posting experience on my phone:

RE: Windows 7 Extended Support date announced
Well, piracy is evil, so they have to give users a reason to do it. Obviously.

RE: Closed Poll: Do you have Discourse Syndrome
50px might not be a lot, but you can definitely work with it.

RE: 🙅 THE BAD IDEAS THREAD
Installing a bleeding-edge rolling-release distro in production. What could possibly go wrong?
(I've only had two cases where an arch update borked my system: Once when a kernel update introduced a bug in the TUN driver which rendered VPN connections completely broken, and once when the new kernel refused to boot (Thankfully I still had an older kernel lying around as a workaround for the TUN bug)).

RE: So, our software's reporting component was updated recently
We updated that same reporting software too not long ago. Their text boxes have a property you can set so they do some primitive HTML parsing, e.g. you can use <b> to make text bold and a few other things but not a lot (IIRC you can make line breaks with <br> and <br/> but not with <br />).
Their newest version added support for <span style="color: whatever;">. Unfortunately it doesn't recognize the end tag of the span and the remainder of the text box content will stay whatever colored. Our fix?
text = text.Replace("</span>", "</span><span style="color: black;"></span>")
Also random Error 12's while saving reports.

RE: Poll: Are you maintaining any java applets?
I once had to write a Java-applet to read a screenshot from the clipboard. The only alternative would have been flash, so it was TRWTF vs. TRWTF.
That applet is still live (in the bug-reporting page). To keep things as painless as possible, it's a 1px * 1px applet that offers one method,
getScreenshotFromClipboardAsBase64EncodedPNG
(which may or may not be the actual name of the method).I still wouldn't use it, there is an 'Upload from Disk' option too.

I chose politicians, because honestly, they're all equally shit.

RE: The Official Status Thread
Too easy if you don't hide the domain name too:
$('a.subreddit,span.domain').css('visibility', 'hidden')

RE: Poll: Best Mobile OS
I voted Android, but not because it's the best, but rather the best one at not being the worst mobile OS.
I particularly dislike the brokenness of the
plahplay store, but at least I can get rid of vendor crapware by flashing a custom ROM. It also has cheap phones which are not total crap spec-wise.I run CyanogenMod 11.

RE: Feature Request: Cornify tag!
I'd definitely like to have a Cornify tag on this forum. This would finally add a significant <cornify>improvement</cornify> to the new forums compared to CS.
