Just noticed that one of our tables has a column named "ExpireyDate". We're a dev team split between the UK and the US so at least some of us are ostensibly native English speakers so we don't even have that excuse...

So I tell you not to send me emails, and you...send me an email?

RE: At White Castle...
The other day at a Hale and Hearty Soups in Manhattan I tended a $20 bill for a purchase of $9.77. The girl at the till hit the $50 button for the amount tendered, so the till indicated she give change of $40.23. She spotted that she'd made a mistake, and apologised, and then left the till before I could say anything. She brought back a calculator to work out what the change should have been...
Americans shouldn't feel too bad though - I've witnessed similar muppetry in my home country of England as well.

RE: 100% Textbook Scam
He won't get a bean - the spam makes it clear his email address won the lotto, not him. of course, if he's on good terms with his email address, it might pass some on to him.

Now we have to remember to fix bugs in at least two places and since the files are named the same often I'll make a change only to see it not work
Or what happened at a former employer:
D) Botch a CVS merge so badly that you don't just end up with two separate code-bases, generic and customisable, but two code-bases in separate and no longer reconcilable branches...
I suppose at least that made it easier to know which of generic vs customisable you were actually working on.

I get around the whole issue by only using Unix epoch seconds.

RE: National Routeing Guide
But privatisation has made British railways so much more efficient, and only requiring five times more government subsidy than when they were nationalised!

It's OK, I'm going to trademark the word "bitch" and take Mark Zuckerberg to the cleaners...
