I always understood it to be infinite monkeys, and more of an observation that any infinite non-repeating sequence contains the sum of all possible information. Statistically, though, there are far more high-entropy states than low-entropy states, so most of it is nonsense.

Unless you're talking about thermodynamic vs Shannon entropy.

Mark Twain said:
In the space of one hundred and seventy-six years the Lower Mississippi has shortened itself two hundred and forty-two miles. That is an average of a trifle over one mile and a third per year. Therefore, any calm person, who is not blind or idiotic, can see that in the Old Oolitic Silurian Period,' just a million years ago next November, the Lower Mississippi River was upwards of one million three hundred thousand miles long, and stuck out over the Gulf of Mexico like a fishing-rod. And by the same token any person can see that seven hundred and forty-two years from now the Lower Mississippi will be only a mile and three-quarters long, and Cairo and New Orleans will have joined their streets together, and be plodding comfortably along under a single mayor and a mutual board of aldermen.
There is something fascinating about science. One gets such wholesale returns of conjecture out of such a trifling investment of fact.

This also explains the Garage.

What was that? I can't hear.
Me either, he's too quiet.

This is the most amazing phenomenon. That the entire infinite universe fits well in one finite head. Because of this, some say that the Universe is just an invention of the head - that's why so.

How many times have I invited you to try this in practice - take any difficult question (God, politics, reason ...) and go! But you are making it all jokes.

I'm kinda tracking this pastiche of a recapitulation of a selection of the development of modern thought. Waiting for it to hit 1906, b/c
The Devil's Dictionary
is a really good book (and a serviceable dictionary). Seems unlikely to make it out of this sorta Baconist period it's in tho.But any way Russia makes it into the 20th century is progress.

Never. An invitation implies a transition of location. What you appear to be talking about is called thinking, more specifically musing, more specifically unhinged speculation.
These are all widely available technologies.

Perhaps I have nothing more to say here. I can easily understand you, I can watch all your funny zombie movies (and your not funny avatars and titanics). But after them I have nothing left. Even 1000 of your films will not leave in me what one European film will do. Yes, you can't eat popcorn to a European movie, but your soul softens.
French zombie film "The Story of Marie and Julien". Or a Swedish film about a young boy and a girl "Summer with Monika". Or any film by Polanski or another Polish director. I change from them. And I love it. And I feel like there is something wrong with the ever-increasing printing of dollars, movies and new versions of Nodebbes - it is definitely something bad - for a human.

False. Film is a literary form. But being knocked about by art is a sign of a weak mind.

Probably. But at this point in the thread, what does it matter. Tania's run off with the Count already.
