Android Studio is fine, mostly. Gradle is hot garbage. It's just glorified
makewhy does it need minutes to do whatever the hell it does instead of milliseconds like a sane build environment.

Gradle is hot garbage.
It seems to be a build system for Java (principally) for people who don't like either ant or maven. (Maven is pretty scary too, but that's because it does a heck of a lot.) IIRC, those all only take a long time if you disable the state caches, and if you do that then they'll redownload the internet every build so don't do that you idiots.

I bailed on the Android app long ago. Android Studio just kept Gradling forever instead of compiling.
Yeah. This. I can't even get my project from five years ago to load...
