The sad part is I had all that shit available years ago but someone decided to rewrite their browser and forget half the features in the process...
-
…Chrome effectively has NoScript and FlashBlock built-in?

-
Not using https is TRWTF
-
Yup, and I'm pretty sure it blocks flash by default too.
(Pretty sure being it does for me and I don't think I ever changed that)
-

…Chrome effectively has NoScript and FlashBlock built-in?

That joke's bad even by my standards!
-
Or you could update your firefox/remove redundant addons.
No javascript though
-
go , go , go!
-
That brought me here:
-
it's hard to use these
I used to know a guy who broke his neck back in the day they didn't bother trying to keep your hands from freezing in fists. He typed with a pen in one hand and the thumb of his other hand, and he just gave you a pitying look.
-
In what way are images "scripts"? Whoever named that plug-in is a shit.
Also, the 90s called and said "most of us aren't on dialup any longer".
-
-
granted, but u is way less effort to type on a QWERTY keyboard than µ
Then it should be called ublock.
And get your Greek letters off my lawn.
-
I'm annoyed at it enough to go through the effort of typing µ.
Why type µ when you can type μ?
-
hey! look what i found in Chrome!
Where did that come from? I don't see that and I'm on 42-blah beta m.
-

I have that on 41.someversion.

Have Google been taking discoverability lessons from Jeff?
-
Have Google been taking discoverability lessons from Jeff?
I think Jeff takes them from Google, based on his usual excuses for stuff.
Until @accalia posted it here, I had no idea Chrome had that either.
-
I thought all browsers had something pop up when you click the favicon? Firefox shows certificate and identity info, and IE… shows bugger all. Huh.
Carry on
-
Firefox shows certificate and identity info
So does Opera. And Chrome, IIRC.
But I never got the idea of right clicking it since, you know, it was just a little popover from as long as I remember that button existing. Why would I think that right clicking did anything?
-
Right-clicking normally does something almost everywhere. Usually showing a menu.

Right-clicking normally does something almost everywhere. Usually showing a menu.
But the favicon on Chrome is in the tab, where you just get the tab context menu.
-
Right click the icon next to the URL on the address bar.
Did it honestly not occur to you that I did that? How else would I have reason to say "I don't see that".
And no, clicking either of the links doesn't make the window expand to show those things.
-
Have Google been taking discoverability lessons from Jeff?
Probably, but left-clickings works too.
-
Did it honestly not occur to you that I did that?
Yes, but figured I'd say it anyway then find out for sure rather than just assuming.
left-clickings works too.
Oh... so it does.
-
But I never got the idea of right clicking it
My chrome does the same thing whether I right or left click.
-
So @loopback0 was lying. Faith in humanity slightly restored.
-
The new IE does too. At least on sites with SSL
And of course it doesn't let you do anything useful with it. Well it's a beta, so maybe that screen will get more useful? (Hah nope)
-
So @loopback0 was lying.
Wrong.
I didn't say right clicking was the only way.Nor did I check. Or know.
-
Is that what Spartan looks like?
-
Yup
-
Lives up to its name alright…
