I will kick off the A discourse discussion platform for your website?

RE: Embroidery Machine Software
Those people do not know the domain of web development

RE: IsItServerCooties is an insignifcant place
actually 15 s would be more accurate than 15.01.
-
RE: MTG Luck Sack
Having played MT:G a lot (the Mirage and Rath cycle mostly) I had no idea that some of the power 9 had been reprinted. They were not. -

You're typing numbers? That's different.
Now that I think of it wpm is a very strange metric cpm would be better.

RE: I Moved to Linux and Itβs Even Better Than I Expected
If every coder was good at graphics there would be a lot more awesome games out there.

RE: I Moved to Linux and Itβs Even Better Than I Expected
Ahhh that's more like blakey . I was allready afraid after the start.

RE: Oh FFS!
Or the lastname? That can also infer racism. You know what, let us take the picture off because you know racism.

RE: Helloworld.rb
Or Case String
Btw how do I do back quotes on an iPad? Just got this damned thing from management.
-
RE: Helloworld.rb
So that finally you have an other choice between CamelCase en underscore_case. Actually full sentences as identifiers. This opens up a whole new range of s so more content for us to laugh about.

RE: The Give All The Money To Me Thread
I do too, every day.
Well you can atleast use their pelts as currency (I think you are croatian). Here in the netherlands they were almost extinct because they could not survive in urban areas. So they were put on the endangered species list. Then they adapted but were never taken off that list.
So now they chew up cars, damage buildings and such. But are not allowed to shoot or otherwise kill them. So all you can do legally is put shitloads of chicken mesh everywhere (underneath cars, below the rooftiles and such) -
RE: The Give All The Money To Me Thread
Aren't those as big as a cat and walk like a squirrel? If so we had some serious problems with those.
-
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
There is also a special "RAW" mode. Which ouputs everything as a binary string.
-
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
Do not forget trustlevels, if you have used the keyboard for more then 5 out of the last 7 days you can use the numeric keypad.
-
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
You have an ascii lock? mine only does digits. Or is it unicode.
-
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
Nope but somehow I do not have the dexterity in my left middle and right index to use them. I do not know but with all ten I have the feeling that I lose about 20% in speed and even more in accuracy.
Edit: And I use a huge variety of keyboard: 3 different laptops, approx 4 different types of keyboard in the Lab. A standard university PC and a workstation. So I think I have something like 7 different keyboards. So every once in awhile I am shifted by one key. Now come to think of it I should write a small script to correct for this.
-
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
I never could get used to writing on those broken up keyboards. Probably because I have this 8 finger typing system where sometimes my fingers are going into the others realm.

RE: π₯ First they came for the incandescent bulbs...
Also are those 7 identical multi-meters? Is this guy a science teacher or something?
-
RE: π₯ First they came for the incandescent bulbs...
Reality: Good and bad companies, good and bad governments. inherently assuming one is always better than the other is a religion.
Both a company and a government is neutral. It is the people who run it who actually have a good/bad behaviour. That is why I do not trust companies or governments with my personal information.
What is good now can turn bad very quickly. -
RE: π₯ First they came for the incandescent bulbs...
No sound here, but that guy is seriously overstocked in oscilloscopes. Or he is an Oscilloscope-ophile.

RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
Probably or somewhere in the gaming world. Those people think it has some advantage (polling rates use of IRQ and such) but then again I think the gaming world is full of black magic believers.

RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
What decade are you time-poddin' in? I can't even remember the last time I saw a PS/2 keyboard.
Looks at desk... yes I currently use a PS/2 keyboard. Because it was around and does not use a usb port.

RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
Developers aren't real users - no-one cares what developers think
They should not think they should write beautiful working code. -
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
Jeff employs a lower power version of the Steve Jobs Reality Distortion Field.
What I understood is that he actually has a high powered one with overdrive functionality. But he has programmed it him self so it has a very short range (e.g. not more than 50 cm from his nose (e.g. e.g. only his own head) -
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
yups I was actually at wasdkeyboard (see link) on their refurbished page
-
RE: Coding Horror with a keyboard?
They also are not that good, since at least three of them have been returned, repaired or refurbished.

Coding Horror with a keyboard?
I was just searching for a nice mechanical keyboard (my IBM keyboard of 15+ yo has died this weekend).
Et voila, Jeff @wood is selling mechanical keyboards

RE: Another wise investment by Mozilla
I mean hell, when I get this kind of requirements, ususally all I get is "a week to do it", not "20 thousand dollars".
Now you know how your employer makes HIS/HER money

I should have added: for an arts major.
My flatmates were all doing arts and/or fashion. And at parties people thought I was a really cool nice guy until they found that I was doing Physics. -

With great power comes great respo....Let the fun begin! -
RE: I really fucking hope everyone is going to get bored of this soon...
Have you found the mute?

RE: I am groot.
True I am 1,76 which is the world average. In the Netherlands I'm short. 20 km to the east (in Germany) I'm suddenly taller then average. So when I was in my partying age we went to Germany to be somewhat more attractive to the ladies.

RE: Url following a quote does not compute
aha so it is not only for following
but always when following a block.
